“Aish. I don’t understand why you would hate Halloween. I mean, what is there to not like? The unnecessarily elaborate and shining costumes that may give you epilepsy if the wearers move too much? The obscene amount of licorice?” She hated licorice. “The houses overly decorated in ill-taste and lack of organisation? The children running around disorderly and rejoicing at diabetes-inducing bunches of sweets they get from strangers? That’s always a good one. Or the cheap-alcohol-full parties you’re bound to end up in, and regret going but sticking anyway because the punch is free and there’s music you can dance to.” Had he noticed her sarcasm yet? After the outburst of teasing irony, Areum giggled, shaking her head a bit at the younger male.
“Come on, Insoo-ssi. Have you dropped your sense of fun somewhere? Let me tell you what? I’ll take you to a Halloween party and be a good noona and pay for your drinks and all. All you have to do is dress up tastefully and drop the long face!”
There were two reasons Insoo held distaste for the holiday. Two things that if they were not longer a ‘ thing ’ he’d enjoy himself a bit more. Children. And the so fully packed areas you can barely move without having someone breath down your neck. Areum had hit the nail on the head for one of them anyway. Letting out a scoff, he just leans against his palm.
“You don’t seem to care much for any of it either telling by your sarcasm, noona.” There’s a pause, his eyes narrowing at the thought of dressing up. Insoo never had and he never would. Let alone for a party. Especially one with drunk beings all about attempting to “dance”.
“I much rather swallow a gallon of sewer water than take a sip of whatever they’ll be serving. Though.. that is quite a lot of people in one place..” He trails of, the corner of his lips lifting into a smug expression. “Perhaps i’ll go after all. How about noona picks out a costume for me?”
