E-offering to Lord Hypnos! 🦋

I don't actively worship Him, but a friend suggested me a moodboard idea and I think it's neat c: besides, doesn't hurt to give offerings to other deities sometimes too.

What do your deities look like to you? You can be as brief or as descriptive as you want; I just thought this would be a fun questioning. I find it interesting how much appearance differs between worshippers and devotees.

honestly the best i can describe most of my deities is by what they make me feel and what they feel like to me. i dont tend to actually visualize my deities, even when im meditating or dream about them and see them its more like a blur, like i can't place details very well. sometimes i can make out a general silhouette / form, but its never mega specific. when i draw as a devotional act, the details tend to vary, because i have to get creative (and mostly go with the vibe for that specific piece). its funny because for some deities im all like "oh this deity feels like a fresh breeze and flowers and songs and honey" and for others its like "uh yeah she's obviously a blonde"

Will we be able to see Hephaestus & Aphrodite's story? Will their relationship like really just Aphrodite cheated on Hephaestus? Don't know why but lotta of people (I said LOTTA) seems to get the point that Aphrodite won't control herself while me here thinks that Hephaestus & Aphrodite might in fact was a pair of happiest couple in other dimensions🤔🤔...It is because I'm kinda a Hephaestus & Aphrodite ship...? (Into self-doubt now... Very deeply... Very depressed...)

Hey anon,

I can't guarantee the subplot I have in mind about Hephaestus will ever actually appear in-story (I cannot possibly cover every Greek myth). However, I can at least point out something more general: in the FoA version of things, Aphrodite is polyamorous, something that Hephaestus is perfectly chill about. They are not however married as of yet.

10. Have you ever made a travel altar?

yes, actually! some time ago (two years? maybe?) i was away for christmas week so i made one to celebrate the summer solstice! i remember it was cute and i added some rocks to it, but i dont remember what exactly i took with me besides some rocks and shells, candles, and dice. i didnt really like how i used it, so i havent made any for when i was away more recently, but ive always liked to carry some trinkets that remind me of the gods, so ive been doing that instead. i love the concept of travel/pocket altars tho!! would love to work into something cute and functional to use in the future

19. Do you just worship deities, or do you worship heroes, spirits, etc. as well?

my worship is kind of rocky right now (has been for a while) but i did worship and do stuff with a bunch of heroes some time ago, and i still hold them very dearly! shoutout to achilles and patroklos my beloveds <3 ive also looked into atalanta (my workout go-to gal) and pelops (made me pay more attention to poseidon) and asterion (just love him and pasiphae and ariadne) and leukippos (im trans i love leto i had to), and i loooooove orpheus and eurydice (who made me interested in starting to look into nymph cult!!)

ive also been trying to make an effort to give thanks to nature spirits in general so i guess that counts
