okay, number 20 is checo. the first thing i ever learned about him is that he cheated on his wife (not even sure if that’s confirmed tbh?), so he started at the bottom and just, like. hasn’t moved. i do feel bad for him because i don’t think he’s a bad enough person where i’m actively wishing ill on him, and being constantly dragged online for every single thing you do sucks for anybody. like i can’t be a lando fan and not be a little bit bothered by the way everyone talks about checo sometimes. do i think he cares that much personally? probably not. do i think he’s failed enough to be out of the red bull seat specifically? probably. i don’t pretend to fully grasp everything that goes into making a “good” or “bad” driver, and being max’s teammate is really really hard because like…. how good is the car actually and how much is just max being insane? the gaps between them are kind of heinous these days though, and red bull has gotten rid of drivers for so, so much less in the past, so THEIR behavior is inconsistent and annoying for sure. but is that checo’s fault? is he supposed to just surrender his seat when nobody is making him give it up? nah. and i don’t think he’s the worst driver around.

all that being said, i don’t LIKE him and there’s people i’d rather see in that seat which is why he’s 20.
