Pet peeve that I have that idk if anyone else also experiences but I HATE when I'm watching a show in another language dub and have the subtitles set to that language (ex. French dub with French subtitles) and THE DAMN SUBTITLES DON'T LINE UP WITH WHAT THE CHARACTERS ARE SAYING. Like hey I don't know French or Spanish or Filipino that well but I can sure as hell tell that what they're saying and what the subtitles say they're saying DON'T line up, it is NOT the same words and sentences. 🫩

Just curious, but do you think you could add the option of flavor text about speaking another language when we meet our roomie? Obviously it doesn't have to be a big deal nor is it needed at all, I just thought it was a fun idea.

Done! I've only added flavour text for some minor paragraphs in the same chapter (freshman orientation) but I'll go back and add things here and there.

Currently the possible languages that I foresee having flavour text are: French (G), Spanish (D), Mandarin (Hua/Shan/Mike/Formosa lady), Hindi (Deepal) and Arabic (Rayyan).

Hello! No need to apologize, your English is great. I do always say sorry myself, and I wish I knew more languages. Sadly, I only know English and American Sign Language. But if you took the time out of your day to leave me a comment, whether in English or another language, I always try to reply. I use a translator to reply in whatever language the comment is in because I'm hoping it will make it easier. It's impressive to me when people are bilingual or read stories with a translator or read them when it's not their native tongue. So if I can help that, I try. And I'm sorry if it comes off as cringe or anything, I just want anyone reading my story to feel comfortable and I figure if I can come to you with the language you speak, then maybe it gets rid of any anxiety about leaving a comment that isn't in English. I feel like I'm rambling or making an ass out myself. Sorry (again)

Do any of the ROs speak another language?

Peter Pan: He knows a few words in varying languages (like Spanish, Italian, German, etc). But I wouldn’t say that he can fluently speak them. He’s just picked them up on his various trips to the Main Land.

James/Jasmine: Was actually tutored in multiple foreign languages (what good it does them now). They’re fluent in the most languages out of all the ROs and enjoy writing various notes in random languages they know. As it confuses Smee.

Tinkerbell: I imagine that the Fairies of Pixie Hollow have their own language; so I’d definitely say that Tink is fluent in that. Any Main Land languages? I could see French being one.

Lyra: Atlantian; the native tongue of her home. She’s also fluent in the common tongue of the land dwellers (English).

Hunter: Never Land has its own dialect/vocabulary for some things. Hunter is well versed in them (as is Peter) but he doesn’t know any Main Land languages. Only what he’s overheard from Peter or Tink.
