Who: Tyler Reynolds and Harper Stuart

Where: Their apartment, Hanover NH

Harper: She had gone to the doctor when her period hadn’t showed up. She was always super regular, and it was weird of her to be as late as a day. So when a week and a half passed by, she felt the need to go to the doctor. And did he have news for her. She waited for her fiancé to come home. She had big news for him. The girl was very nervous of what would his reaction be. They were young, they were happy and about they had been engaged for a while now. She was confident he’d take her news the right way, and she really wanted him to, but she still was very nervous. She heard the lock of the door opening, and she sighed. She smiled, and gripped tightly to the paper that would change their lives forever.
Tyler: The way between the campus and the apartment wasn’t that long, but tonight in especially seemed to be the longest road he had take. “Oh come on” He whispered when the light of another red sign showed up. Drumming his finger on the wheel, Tyler was caught by the song that starter to play next. He turned up the volume, just a little so he could feel his lips curving up into a smile. Was one of their songs, the same one that was playing when he made the propose, when he decided to take the next step. Seemed to be the right thing to do, he loved her and enjoy their life together. Tyler finally pulled into their driveway, making his way up to the apartment wasn’t the most fancy one but was enough for them. ” … Hi” He said with a smooth voice and a smile on his face leaning in to give her a kiss his hand gently touching her hace; he leaned back and narrowed his eyebrow when he noticed the look on her face. “Are you okay baby?”
Harper felt goosebumps when she saw him. But her smile widened. She kissed him back, all the nerves going away as his hand went to her face and their lips met. She smiled widely, her nerves descending by the second. She saw him and she knew that he was perfect for her. She sighed with a big smile “So, I went to the doctor on Monday. And I have news” she started. She looked deep into his eyes and took his hands, looking at her ring and then back at him. She wanted to finish her sentence but she couldn’t resist herself, so she leaned in and gave him a short kiss. Then, she looked at his eyes again, and she finally finished “I’m pregnant!” she said excited and with a wide smile. She was so happy, and the fact that she was having his baby made it even better.
Tyler: He chuckled seeing the girl so nervous in front of him; she was beautiful he couldn’t deny and the spark in her eyes were so bright right now. “Harper what’s going on? Are you sick or something?” The words coming out fast from his mouth, he felt worried for a moment but the touch of her lips calmed him. He smiled through their kiss, squeezing her hand gently. Wasn’t until Harper tell him the news for his face turn to perplexed expression. “What? You what?” He was confused, didn’t know how to react but at the same tie excited. That’s how life goes, that was coming. “Oh my god”
Harper bit her lip with a smile as he took her news in. It was something life altering, and it was a big blessing. “We’re going to be parents, honey!” She said, and wrapped her arms around him. “I love you so much” she said against his chest, both to him and to their child. This was the best thing that ever happened to her, besides having Ty in her life. They were going to be a family now. She could tell he was excited and that was amazing. A family… that’s what they were now.
Tyler: He would be lying if he said he wasn’t scared, Tyler was a bit of terrified — doesn’t mean he wasn’t happy. He had thought many times before about build a family, have kids, build traditions and give them his best since Tyler never had what you could call a family. That made him thinking about his mom, all the things she deal and he felt a pang of sad but shook that feelings cupping her face with both hands. “We are going to be parents” He repeated her words, now a little louder and more excited as before. “I’m going to be a father” The blue eyed boy was smiling like never before; that was the moment and that was perfect. He was about to graduate in college, building a brilliant career for him and he had someone with him - now two. He pulled Harper into his embrace, a family of his own, that’s all he wanted. “I love you too babe” But as he head laid on her shoulder and the trill of that running through his body. His mind pulled him back to a moment when he was eighteen, eighteen and almost being a father. Her face played on his mind, for that second Tyler felt something wrong
Harper was happy he had taken the news the right way. They were young, yes, but they could manage. She was going to be a mother and since she learned the news, she decided she was going to do everything in her capacity to give her baby the best of everything. “Oh, honey, you’re going to be the best father of them all” she said, a little tear of happiness forming in her eyes. She’d be lying if she said she didn’t think of a certain someone from her past when she found out, but now she was with Tyler and she was happy. She had yet to tell her dads, but she was sure they’d be just as excited as she was. She smiled “It’s amazing that there’s a little someone in between us right now, don’t you think, love?” she told him, talking about their baby. “I’m so happy. I’m going to be a mom!” She said into his ear. She had never been this happy.
Tyler: “I will be the best dad I can be, I promise you! I have experience taking care of Mase and I was a good babysitter” He chuckled and took a step back, his hands skimming in her belly before wiping the tear falling from her face “I think it is the best thing that could have happened to us, just another step into our future together” He or she is going to be very loved” His voice was hoarse and he could fill tears forming on his eyes. “You are going to be an amazing mother baby, I love you” He pressed his lips on her forehead making his was down to her lips. “We should celebrate, we have to celebrate. Tell my father, your parents … We should tell them to come visit us”
Harper ’s heart raced as he promised to be the best dad he could “I know you will. You’re amazing” she said with a big smile as she kissed his cheek. Her smile widened as she felt his hands in her belly. She placed hers on top of his and the tears of joy rolled down her cheek, his touch making her smile widen slightly more. “It is! It is the best thing that could’ve happened” she agreed “It’s all happening! We’re going to be a family. And we’ll be happy and he or she will be born to the two most loving parents” she said excited. Her hands were still on her stomach, on top of where the baby was, when she hears his words and his kiss. “I love you too, honey” she told him, before kissing him back. Her face lit up even more “We should! We should celebrate! And let’s call our parents! They’re going to be so excited! And they totally should come and visit us!” She said excited. “I’m so happy we’re doing this together” she told him, before kissing him again with a smile.
Tyler: “Thank you! Thank you for make me happy, I don’t know if I have said this enough but I’m happy with you” He wrapped his arms around her waist, slowly brushing his lips against her. “We already are a family, us, here, it’s amazing and I love you” Tyler took a lock of her hair, to better stare at her face. “We can call them later and if they don’t come, we will go to them. Are you hungry? Want me to prepare you something?”
Harper felt overwhelmingly happy. “Thank you for making me as happy as I am! Thank you for letting me love you. I love you so much, honey” she said as a couple of joy tears ran down her face. again, as his lips touched hers and his arms wrapped around her waist. “You’re right, we already are a family. I love you so much and everything with you is so amazing” she said as she looked into his eyes. “Let’s call them in the morning, make it a good day” she suggested with a smile, her hands in her womb. “I am! I’m hungry. But you should be so tired! Why don’t you let me cook?” She proposed, taking her hands to his’.
Tyler: “Thank you for loving me! I love you too babe” He smiled slightly, he was being honest she had made him happy. Not that he was miserable before, not but he had lost something, something that he doesn’t like to remember. “I’m glad in hear that, I guess everything that happened was meant to be and now here we are. The three of us” Tyler shrugged out of his jacket and dropped it on the couch behind him. He was a little tired but he wouldn’t deny to do that to her. “I liked that idea, we call them in the morning! I’m not that tired, I can cook dinner” He was leaning in to another kiss as he felt her hands on his “Why don’t we cook dinner together?”
Harper ”I love you more” she told him, smiling back at him. She was happy she found him that day, because since she found him, everything in her life had been wonderful. “Yes. Everything that has happened has led to this beautiful moment” she said, as he took off his jacket, when she understood he had said ‘the three of us’. That made her feel even happier. “Oh my god, this is so wonderful. And it sounds so… right. ‘The three of us’” she said, looking down on her abdomen, with her hands on top of the baby. He was so handsome… and he was so nice, and gentle and loving. He really was going to be the best father ever. She was unable to stop smiling. The girl returned the kiss “I like that plan. Let’s cook dinner together: the three of us” she said, putting more excitement to her second sentence, before heading to the kitchen.
Tyler: “You’re a goofy!” His love didn’t have a measure, he loved her but he wasn’t going to put a measure. He loved her the way he could, the way he was allowed. He laughed squeezing her face slightly. “Yeah, from now one is ‘the three of us’” He now had a family, a family of his own and in he promised himself that he would make the most to give them everything. “I want breakfast and I don’t care if is late for it” He snapped, opening the fridge ring to take out some eggs.
Harper giggled as he laughed “But I’m your goofy” she said looking at him lovingly. “The three of us. I love that and I love you” she said. They had a family of three now and that was the best thing that had happened to her. “Breakfast, huh? Well, then, let’s have breakfast” she declared, smiling at him as he opened the fridge, taking out the pan.
Tyler: “Yeap, you’re my goofy” He turned once again to her, holding the eggs on his hand leaning to gently press his lips on hers. “I love you, I love you” He laughed “Is the most important meal, isn’t? Besides I went out so fast this morning that I didn’t have breakfast. Sorry about that, I was later and didn’t want to wake you up”
Harper: She smiled and kissed him back. She hummed and said “I love you more” as he laughed. “It is the most important meal” she agreed. “You know, you’re the sweetest fiancé I could have ever dreamed of. But I don’t want you to go to school without having breakfast” she said, and she looked at his eyes “Take care of yourself, and let me take care of you” she kissed him one more time and grabbed the eggs from his hand. She started cooking the eggs. She loved him, and she loved their child, and they really were a family. She couldn’t wait for their little baby to be born
