Off the International Radar have been inventing beats and breaks since 2001, the best word to describe this instrumental dreamscape outfit is larrrge. Their music grows out of jams and has the coldness of clinical ideas and the warmth of spontaneity. It’s tempting to use the word drone but it would be the wrong word, the foundation of their songs has more to do with a plate-tectonic slow build than the steady tone of the drone, but the net result is steadiness. If OTIR was a sport it would be long distance skating over a perfectly frozen lake. - Doc Pickles
