To hear Otoya's soothing voice after such an adventure, soothed my heart for some reason. "Hmm," I put a finger on my chin, "I don't know, maybe. Actually I hope not." After all, I still had to do a few things and I wanted to go to the library after this day to lend some books about composing. Wait a second... "Otoya .. do you know where the library is? " Now I was the one who tilted her head a little bit and looked at him curiously. ~ Lizz

"Oh, I was about to go there after school to study. I can show you where it is then," Otoya smiles warmly at you. Suddenly, Ringo makes a flashy entrance into the classroom which draws all of the students' attention. "Hello again, everyone," Ringo winks, causing some of the girls to whisper about how cute he is again. "I know this may seem really sudden, but I have some news on your first assignment!"Everyone in the class starts to simultaneously, "Ehhhh?!", surprised that they already have an assignment on the first day. "Settle down, settle down," Ringo motions with his hands for everyone to get quiet. "Let me explain. You're going to be composing and performing an original song in partners. One person from the composing coarse, and one from the idol coarse. The composer will be in charge of, well, composing the music, and the idol will be writing and performing the lyrics. You'll record the song in the soundbooths we have down the hall. The assignment is due two weeks from today. For now, I'll let you choose your partners! Starting....now!"Otoya turns over to you, gulping nervously before gathering the courage to tap you on the shoulder. "U-Um, Lizz? Do you want to work together?"

Even if he was so close and touched me and even when I felt my face becoming warm, I jumped up when I heard his words and took his hands into mine. "Really?!", my eyes shimmered for a second and I couldn't hide my grin. "Thank you... I'm sure this day will be special," I closed my eyes and squeezed his hands briefly until I heard the school bell and let go. "A-Ah," my face turned red - too red - and I pushed the chair to the side. "I have to go to class.. See you, Syo!", and I ran away. ~ Lizz

"Um, yeah. See you later!" He calls after you, blinking a few times as thoughts of how pretty your were ran through his mind. After he realizes that he also needs to get going to class, he quickly throws his food away and speed walks out of the cafeteria. When you enter the classroom,you have a minute or two to spare and Otoya smiles at you as soon as you take your seat next to him. "Hi, Lizz! Do you think the teacher is going to be assigning us something today?" he asks with a slight tilt of his head.

My eyes widened and I almost dropped my fork when I slowly turned my gaze to him and looked at him in surprise for a while. I felt that my nose was turning into the slightest shade of red. "Ah ... thank you," I turned around shyly, stroking a strand behind my ear. "I work hard, even when I have to stay awake," I laughed and played with my food. "Now I really want to hear your voice," at this moment I just let my heart speak and smiled at him innocently. ~ Lizz

Syo feels his heart start to pound against his chest as he notices your shy behavior, which he finds to be...cute. But when your last words leave your lips and you smile so sweetly at him, he feels as if his heart just exploded. Without thinkin, he abruptly stands up from his seat and put his hands on your shoulders, staring deep into your eyes with determination in his own. "I promise that one day, I'll sing a song for you, and only you," he declares, a light shade a pink dusted over his cheeks. When he realizes just how close he is to you, he pulls away and mumbles an embarrassed, "Sorry," as he sheepishly rubs the back of his neck.

"Oh," I surreptitiously widened my eyes before I could put the fork in my mouth and looked in the direction of the blond boy. I hadn't expected such a question, but anyway I put the fork back and thought about the reason. "My mother is an incredible singer and my father was a composer and also my greatest idol. A great duo, right?" I smiled weakly. "But since my father died, my mother doesn't sing anymore, and I'd like to change that. She had so much fun.. and now she doesn't dare to sing."~Lizz

Syo smiled as he thought about your parents being happy together as a team, but his smile falls when you say that your father died. "I'm so sorry about that," he says as his eyes wander to the floor. After a silence falls between the two of you, the blond speaks up again. "I hope one day you can help your mother find her passion again...I'm sure you'll be able to do it, based on the songs that you composed that I saw earlier."

When he mentioned the name, I had to think for a moment, because the name sounded familiar. "H-Hyuga Ryuya?" I mumbled, until I realized it. "Aah! Is that not a main character of the television series? He was amazing!" I smiled at Syo, but when I realized his other words, I blushed. "U-Uh" I stuttered and looked at my food. "I-I don't know if I'm good enough... but...", no time for pessimistic thoughts! I wanted to find friends! "I'll do my best", I turned back to him and gave him a grin. ~ Lizz

When you grin at him, Syo feels as if all the breath was taken out of him. Your smile...was just too cute...After realizing that he was staring at you for longer than normal, the blond returns your grin. "I'll do my best when the time comes, too," he says with a smile before going back to eating his food. After a short silence fills the atmosphere, Syo speaks up again. "By the way, what made you decide to come here to Saotome Academy?"

Woah! The cafeteria was great! The tables, the chairs, the decoration. Everything was amazing and so fancy! A little overwhelmed by the atmosphere, I remained silent until he asked me a question. "Oh, yes I am," I nodded. "But I don't know if I'm a good composer." I took a bite of the meal and held my hand in front of my mouth. "This tastes good..!", My eyes sparkled, until I again noticed his presence and cleared my throat. "Uh ... what about you?" Embarrassing. ~ Lizz

Syo lets out an amused chuckle at your reaction to the food before answering your question. "Oh, I'm in the idol course," he answers, "One day, I hope to work with the guy I look up to the most, Ryuya Hyuga. He's the star in this drama called Prince of Fighting! Gah, it's so good!" he starts to gush. "And get this! He happens to be my homeroom teacher! Isn't that cool?" he asks as a sparkle flashes through his eyes. When he notices how excited he's getting, Syo laughs sheepishly before calming himself down. "Anyways, maybe we'll get the chance to work together someday, huh?"

Surprised, I looked up when the blond boy from this morning approached me. Just when I wanted to complain about the fact that I'm not clumsy (it was just the wind which doesn't like me) he invited me to eat lunch with him. I widened my eyes, because I hadn't expected that. Still, I was truly grateful, even though he knew nothing about it. "That would be nice," I said and gave him a smile. "I don't even know where the cafeteria is," I sighed then. The building was just too great. ~ Lizz

"Well, it is only the first day so I don't blame you," he says with a chuckle. "Follow me, I happened to pass by it this morning so I know where it's at." He starts walking ahead of you before realizing he should probably walk a little slower so you can keep up. "The name's Syo, by the way, in case you forgot," he says as the two of you continue to walk side by side. When you make it to the cafeteria, the two of you grab your food and end up sitting next to eachother at one of the fancy long tables. "I noticed that the paper I picked up this morning was a music score. Are you a composer?" he asks before taking a bite of food.

"Good plan!" I said, as I thought about his suggestion. Then suddenly my cheeks became lightly red and I was playing with my fingers, when I looked at my table. "I really want to hear you sing.." I whispered, but tepid enough that he could hear it. The rest of the lesson we listened to Ringo-chan, who gave us some useful tips. After class, many went to the cafeteria, but I didn't know where to go. I only knew Otoya, but it wouldn't it be pushy only wanting to spend time with him? ~ Lizz

As you wonder down the hallway alone in thought, Syo takes notice of you from nearby. He recognizes you from the morning when you dropped your papers, and he also notices that you seem to look a little lonely. “Oi, clumsy girl,” he calls over to you as he heads in your direction. “Just kidding, it’s Lizz, right?” he says with a grin. “I know this may seem sudden, but do you want to go eat lunch with me? You don’t look too busy, so I was just wondering.”
