This is an extremely late one year bloggiversary present and also a Christmas present.  I figured Kenshi would go with something more acoustic, so I hope you've heard this.

For once, she had the chance to experience the castle being completely silent. Most of the lights had been turned off, leaving it to the dim light from either outside or the few that had been left on, to provide a subtle lighting. Instead of the hectic atmosphere, the castle was left in a fairy tale like state, charming, warm and welcoming in the slight darkness. 

Lena knew she wasn't supposed to be out this late. Despite having only been a castle maid for nearly a week now, the curfew had been pointed out several times. Even so, she found herself unable to sleep and gave in to her own curious nature. Now, dressed in her maid uniform, made up by a white shirt and a black skirt, she was silently wandering the castle hallways with bare feet.

She took in the surroundings but came to a stop when she noticed a line of light falling from a slightly open door. Despite having only been there for a week, she knew the door lead to the Prince's office, and lead by her curiosity, she walked closer while listening.

Nothing.

There was no sound. No evident proof that the prince was present in his office. Convinced that someone had simply forgotten to turn off the lights, she slowly opened the door and stepped inside the unfamiliar room.   Keith had worked on his paper for the past 3 days already, almost not closing an eye because the deadline was tomorrow, and if he didn't submited a new proposition of law as a simulation, but knew that if it was accepted it could probably passed in front of the council.  He finally finished his paper for tomorrow, and slowly started to drift away, totaly exhausted from his work of the last day.  He didn't knew for how many time he fell asleep on his desk, but opened his eyes once again when he heard the door opening, and someone's footstep in the room.  Keith lifted his head to look at who dared to come in his office without his consent, and spotted a young maid, bare feet just in front of him.  He didn't knew her face yet, probably new here, and glared at her as he quickly stood up from his desk.  "What do you think you are doing here? Don't you know how to read hours on a clock? I think the curfew had been pointed out already a great number of time." He kept glaring at her stepping closer as he scanned her up and down. 

"Give me your name, and go back to your room right away if you want to keep your job here! And next time you are bare feet again you are out! I think we pay you more than enought to buy slippers, if someone saw you like that i don't even want to imagine what they would think about how Liberty's royalty treat their maid." His tone was cold and firm, making sure she would understand what he was saying so that wouldn't happen again.
