An Evening with Yukinojo

This is for otomewhitearcticfox who won second place in my follower giveaway. She wanted a fluff fic with Yukinojo :) enjoy darlin :)

“You should have told me you were cold” Yukinojo said, a kind smile on his face beaming down at me.

We had been sitting out in the garden for the evening, Yukinojo suggesting we eat some snow cones since the entire day had been blazing heat. He always struggled on summer days, but I always made sure his room was cool for him, making sure Samon made some cool snacks and such to keep his temperature down as much as possible. He always thanked me for it, in many ways, but this close time with him I cherished the most.

After sitting outside as the sun disappeared, we shared a snow cone together. We tried different flavours, but we both settled on one to share, strawberry. Problem was, I got chilly quite fast, but I knew he was still a little warm, so I didn’t say anything. That is, until my body started to shiver. I wish I could have controlled it, but I couldn’t help it. He soon picked up on it, chuckling to himself.

“Sorry, I know you’re still warm so” I said, looking away from him

“So you would be willing to shiver uncontrollably until I was cool enough?” I chuckled again “silly human, during the summer I’m never as cool as I’d like to be, but I love you and care deeply for you, I don’t want you to get cold for me!”

I was about to argue, when he happily pulled the blanket we had been sitting on from underneath us, skilfully too, and placed it round my shoulders. He kissed my cheek gently.

“Now, let’s finish this together, then we can go inside” he said, sitting directly behind me, wrapping his arms around my body. He was cold but the blanket was keeping me nice and toasty. I loved it when we did this. Dating for a long time meant we learned things about each other, especially since he was a demon and all. With his cold body, we often fount I got cold quickly whenever we cuddled, which greatly annoyed me, it worked out ways. Blankets were extremely useful, kept me warm but I could still feel Yukinojo.

I sighed, leaning back against him. He kissed my head, squeezing me that little tighter.

“I’m so glad you chose me” he said, kissing the mark he had made all that time ago on my neck “You’ve made my life have a new meaning, please don’t ever leave me”

We may have had a bumpy start, but I loved this man, erm demon, more than anything in this world.

“I’ll never leave you” I said, snuggling into him. He chuckled once again, pulling me into his lap.

“Good” he kissed my head again as we both looked up at the night sky, hoping this night would never end.
