have we considered Bloom coming home after Realm of Darkness, years after, and ofc she returns immediately to her parents and she's dealing with trauma and doesnt even want to hear about the otherworld, so they help her heal in the old fashioned-no-magic just loads of work way.

And eventually Bloom is no longer in trauma shock and ready to live again, so Vanessa is like "you should meet this lovely guy who's in my class-" and Mike is always gushing about his favorite client to her and they REALLY want Bloom to date this fucking guy and she's just so so done

until one day they invite this prick for dinner and Bloom basically attempts to escape via the window, bc fuck no, but then as she's jumping in her yard Sky is there and he's all? Uh need a hand? the hell?

And that's when it hits her that Mr. What If I Don't Want My Life to Be Like This left the Otherworld when she did too. That he came to California. That he's the one who was there with her parents and grieved over her too and as much a support to them as they were to him.

And that Vanessa/Mike were trying to introduce her to Sky for the past month and a half.

"Why are you pouting?" Bloom frowned, looping her arms around Sky's neck from behind and resting her cheek against his temple. He let out a scoff, staring ahead at the television that was currently playing a soap advertisement and definitely didn't warrant that scowl on his face.

"I'm not pouting," Sky grumbled, causing Bloom to roll her eyes and press a kiss to his temple.

"Try again, but this time without lying to me," she said playfully, circling the couch and draping herself over his lap, once again looping her arms around his neck, "you've been acting weird since we came home."

"It's stupid," he squeezed his arms around her a little tighter and Bloom bit down a smile. It's stupid, was code for I'm dying to tell you.

She poked his chest, "c'mooon, Sky," she leaned back in his arm to get a good look of his face, "tell me."

"It's a boy," Sky's cheeks turned red and Bloom raised her eyebrows, surprised.

"So...?" she frowned, "I wasn't aware you wanted to be a girl-dad so badly... I mean, that's a little fucking weird to be this caught up on our baby's gend-"

"It's not that," he let out a frustrated sigh, "I don't care that it's a boy or a girl-"

"-But you just said.."

"I care that's is a boy... Like I am. That he'll look like I look," he cringed at his own words, "and I look like the spitting image of my father."

Bloom's mouth hung open, before she wrinkled her nose at the mental image, "first of all, ew," she scoffed, sitting up straight on his lap to glare at him sternly, "you may look like closely related to Andreas, but you're not his spitting image. I'd know, I have to look at your face every day."

He rolled his eyes fondly at her and then pouted, "point still stands."

"And who's to say our son is going to look like you? So presumptuous," Bloom smiled at him in a teasing manner, "for all we know we'll have a little ginger menace."

Sky's eyes lit up, but then he shook his head, "slim chances to have a ginger and you know it-"

"And," Bloom continued, ignoring him and planting her finger over his lips, "I love your face. I'll be happy if our baby looks like you, Sky. I'd be so happy," she leaned in, pressing her forehead to his, "...I don't care if you have your father's face shape or his chin. I love your chin," Bloom grinned, planting a kiss on his chin and holding his chin between her index and thumb, "and your jaw...and your lips. Your smile- Yeah, that smile," she grinned against his lips, "and your nose and your eyes and the way they can never lie to me."

"...I guess..." Sky sighed in a defeated manner, causing Bloom to shut him up with another kiss.

"Stop overthinking," she whispered, pressing her forehead to his, "I know you, Sky. I know you. I know your heart... Even if our baby was Andreas spitting image, he'd be ours, and I know, as well as I know myself, that you'd love him with everything you have."

"Of course I would, Bloom," Sky frowned, pulling back to look her in the eye, "of course I would, that's not-"

"That's all that matters, Sky," Bloom sighed, kissing him again, "if he looks like you, me, your father or bloody Riven, it doesn't matter."

"It'd matter a little if he looked like Riven," Sky mumbled, but he was smiling, pulling her in for a bigger, slower kiss, "you're right. It doesn't matter."

What she says: i'm fine

What she means; i don't understand what the writers were aiming for with skloom's sex life. it really comes down to not committing themselves to the time skip, they put in a skip to justify some plot holes but they didn't put in the work for the skip itself. We're never given a reason on why Bloom or Sky would want to "wait" to have sex, quite the contrary, we're shown them jumping at the opportunity to be alone and being annoyed at being interrupted. However Riven offers Sky the room and it's established they can just text each other when they want the other out, so HOW COME Skloom didn't fuck until then?? Yes Stella won't allow Sky in the suite, but they say it loud and clear it's been "months" since season one, are you telling me skloom couldn't find one hour of privacy in the entirety of these months?? And this is not me complaining that they made them wait, but like, then at least give it meaning? We're not told they wanted it to be special, we're not told Bloom or Sky opted to wait, in fact we're told the OPPOSITE, so how the fuck is it so heavily implied that their first fuck was in Sky's house in 2x02 and one more thing-

Hi Scar!! First off, PLEASE stop saying it's annoying, I love chatting!

So I have *issues* with Skloom "waiting". My issue is not the waiting per se, but the fact that the show gives us zero justification as of why. We know for a fact Sky isn't a virgin, so I doubt "waiting" came from him and it doesn't suit Bloom at all to want to wait to fuck, when:

she's the one jumping him at every opportunity

i'm frankly tired of the sheepish shy virgin protagonist.

I'd be fine if they had written this in Bloom, but they forgot to do that. Anyway.

My personal headcanon in order to accommodate this plot 'hole' is that Bloom initially wanted to wait, but that this was out of the window by the time 2.01 rolls on. What happens then is that they simply never had any privacy or time alone, as Beatrix proves by waltzing into the suite and Stella by reinforcing the "no boyfriends" rule and Riven always having the room.

Riven implies in 2.02 that he'd give the room to Sky whenever he wanted, so clearly Sky hadn't asked up until this point, which we're going to chalk up to him being in the throes of emo-depression about Silva/Andreas.

OR My personal favorite take, not as canon compliant, they hadn't waited at all. The fucking in 2.02 is poised as important because it was intimate, in his childhood room, etc - But they had definitely snuck around before and managed to fuck at least once before.

Since this isn't as canon compliant, I use this justification mostly in fics.

thinking we actually had months of skloom softness that they don't show us. There's a time jump of months between 1x06 and 2x01. Months.

Do you think they were awkward around each other? Do you think there was no awkward, Bloom comes back from the First World and Andreas is in the school and she immediately jumps into Protecc Sky mode and they somehow end up avoiding the entirety of that first talk? When did they decide on labels? Did Riven walk in on the two of them and this is how he learned? Did Riven pull Bloom aside and was like "hey red, just so you know, you ever drug my best friend again and you'll not live :))" and Bloom recognized the same love she felt for Sky in Riven and she's not even mad, she's just GLAD? Do you think Bloom was like a deer caught in the headlights the first time Sky called her his girlfriend and he couldn't help but chuckle at her???
