“Come on Ellie, you have to choose.” Said Dani, looking at me. 

“How could I choose? You’re asking me to choose one child over the other.” I responded.

“No, I asked if you wanted to watch The Outsiders or Ghost.” She said with a look that said, really?

“Exactly.” Same thing.

“Fine, then I’ll choose. We’re watching Ghost. I love me some Swayze.” She decided.

“The Outsiders has Swayze too...” I muttered.

“Then I love me some Demi Moore,” she said. She put the disc into the xbox and grabbed the controller. The movie got to the part where they’re sculpting in the night and “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers was playing.

I looked down at Dani, my arm was propped up on the couch behind her head and she was learning into my side. She didn’t notice me staring, thankfully. She would have teased me for eternity. At the same time, my arm dropped to her shoulders so I could squeeze the shoulder furthest from me and draw her in closer.
