Niall girl here so hehe hello!! I really enjoyed reading your long post analysing what kind of person Niall is. I wanted to ask you if you could link me to any posts about how 1D were like during the Singapore concert (which I went for, so this is extra interesting to me), with regard to being able to breathe a little, away from Modest's control?
I don’t know that I’ve seen any posts specifically about Singapore. I just remember the entire fandom flipped out about how Louis was like the sun, Niall did a somersault on stage for the first time in forever, Niall and Louis were jumping together, and the rest of the boys were feeding off that same energy as well.
I was numbering my OTRA shows at that point, stupid idea I have now abandoned, so if you can figure out which number show that was, you can find it under otra_ in my tags. I probably wrote a lot of exuberant tags that are pretty standard for how everyone was talking online that night.
That was March 11th, and the story of Louis and Eleanor “breaking up” was on March 21st or so. The story was that they split 2 weeks before that, so that show corresponds to when Louis was officially free of acting like her boyfriend. The best idea anyone has for why that show was so different is that Louis was over the moon he was finally done with the hardcore bearding and the rest of the boys were happy too.
They were also in Asia and the whole Asian tour after Japan had a smaller and less complicated stage that allowed for better interactions between all the members if I remember correctly.
In any case, at the time, everyone agreed that show was something special, but a lot of people seem to be ignoring it when saying the boys are so much happier now that Zayn is gone. I’ve not seen them that energetic and purely happy on stage since I became a fan right before the WWA tour started. I’ve seen videos of UAN and TMH and that night reminded me of how they used to act then.
