The Lamborghini Urus was really the first of its kind with the only real competition coming from its sibling the Audi RSQ8. Now that isn’t saying that there isn’t other sporty SUV’s out there but this was the first real “super” SUV. But that Super label also comes with a super price. With MSRP being around $250,000 it really put prices the average soccer mom. So who is this vehicle for then? Well it’s for people who want to go fast. Under the hood is a 4.0L V8 that produces 641 Horsepower and 627 lb-ft of Torque which means it’s really no slouch. But how fast is it actually? Well it has a 0-100km/h time of 3.6 seconds and a 0-200km/h time of 12.8 seconds. That combined with a top speed of 305km/h which will be plenty fast enough to make your passenger clutch the oh sh*t handle. So in conclusion this vehicle is absolutely stunning to look at and even better to drive. Is there cheaper alternatives out there, absolutely. But nothing will get close to the feel of owning and driving a Lamborghini and really if you have over $250,000 to spend why wouldn’t you want a Lambo. Did you know that the BMW M2 only started production in 2015. The 2 series of BMW were introduced in 2015 to take over for the 1 series. Which means the M2 is the cheapest and most basic cad in the M car range. Not that that’s a bad thing of course. So what makes the M2 stand out among the rest of the Sports Coupe class. Well first of all it’s offered with both a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed M-DCT dual clutch transmission. Which is becoming increasingly more uncommon with more and more companies moving towards purely automatic vehicles. Secondly, let’s talk about the power plant. Under the hood is a 3.0 litre turbocharged straight 6 engine. The engine produces 365 Horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque. The M2 features the same pistons from the M3 and M4 which combined with aluminum front and rear suspension components mean that it has a 11lb weight reduction. So what does all that mumbo jumbo mean when it comes to performance. Well to start the 0-100km/h times are 4.5 seconds (manual trans) or 4.3 seconds (dct trans) which means it’s not supercar quick but will still surprise you. And the top speed isn’t bad either. The car is actually limited to 250 km/h but if you don’t think that’s quick enough for you, you can get the drivers package which extends it to 270 km/h. So overall the BMW M2 is a car that doesn’t get as much appreciation as it deserves and if your looking for a sports coupe this should definitely be on your list. Subaru is probably one of the most prominent names in today’s car community. With the wide variety of customization both visual and performance based, every Subaru can be unique.
