When Olivia and Viola are awake in the wee hours sometimes, they slip out together. It's still cold, but they can move to keep warm/ and signs of spring are everywhere.

Georgia's been acting odd lately - and Tommy's taken against her - but Viola's happy to run into her at the music club after school.

Neither of them ever wins the dance contest, but their day is coming! Just wait!

"We should take you to the beauty store." "I don't want to." "Oh, c'mon! You'd be so cute if you'd do something to your hair, maybe a little lip gloss." "I don't want to be cute. Once a girl get's cute she has to do it all the time."

"This is great, Mom! But can we afford it?" "You let your dad and me worry about that."

"How can you do that so neatly?" "Practice."

"Georgia! Did you see the raccoon?" "Um, yeah, I chased it off." "A little too late, but that's not your fault."

Yeah, I'm sure that covers up all the smell from your slapdancing, Ivan.

"Oh, Peter…are you sure you wanted to go out to eat?" "I wanted to get you away from all those kids, mostly."

"Oh, sir, I'm so sorry!" "Not your fault, honey, they should have a server to help you."

"Could've been worse. Could've been egg."

"Oh, Peter, I love you so much and I'm so glad we're married!" "Back at you, honey."

Tommy is gearing up for his move to campus. His friend Ivan is already there and already making friends on campus.

"What do you say, old lady? Shall we leave the young'uns on their own for supper and take ourselves out on the town?" "The streets are awfully icy to drive into Bigg City just to eat." "Even the Dining Dash is eating out."

Rosalind feels very important and conscientious, taking her first turn at meal rotation.

"I know your sister Tilda! She's really cool!" "I guess she does seem that way, if you're still in elementary."

"So I looked around and there were all these weird big-eyed people -" "Ooh! Were you scared!" "Mostly I was interested."

If Viola sees you doing that, Tommy's going to explain why you and he are fighting, Jesse. And I don't think you want that!

"You sure this is a good place for this?" "Nobody's looking, and it's too cold for the Makeout Spot."

"Okay. You know best." "You're darn tootin'."

"Oh wow - oh wow - oop, your sister's in the kitchen." "She don't care. Viola, do you care?" "It's not my business but I'm not covering for you!"

"How about you, Footsie? Would you cover for us?" "Mew?"

Soup is the hot topic today, apparently.

"I'll brag so hard about knowing you when you're a movie star!" "As you should."

"It's a soup day at home, but it's nicer eating here with you."

"It's a good day for soup, though, don't you think?"

"We should go ahead and get your first kiss taken care of. If you don't mind being kissed by somebody who isn't sexy at all." "I'm going to regret saying that for a long time, aren't I?" "I'll see to it."

(It is of course not her first kiss, so no video. And the only way Topher'd ever initiate his own first kiss would be if Tilda dared him.)

"Oh, hi, Tilda. Here with a date?" Olivia knows all about Topher's rivalry with his sister, and puts her on notice that he just took a giant step ahead of her in the growing-up race.

"So, what would you like to do next?" "You said you'd teach me to make out?"

"What is Wally's girlfriend doing with that, that infant?"

Viola says Dad saw Wallys out with somebody else and you know what? Even if that's gossip, he doesn't own Olivia! And she's known Topher forever. In this weather, and with Topher's whole - everything - the only good place to go with him is the library, but you've got to start somewhere. "Isn't it too cold for this bird?" "Sparrows aren't migratory."

"So that's why they don't sit together anymore." "Really? That's messed up."

"You're very mature for your age, aren't you?" "I am? I don't feel like that much." "You don't have much self-knowledge, that's all."

"Do you think I'm sexy at all?" "Um - no, not really?"

Everybody else is complaining about the cold spring, but not Flavia! She has a snowman to make!

Ugh, how did so much homework accumulate?

Peter has to work; but Samantha is more than willing to help Flavia with her snowman project.

Mom and Flavia are going to need some nice hot soup when they come in.
