Open Serious Starter For A Hook
Spoilers for 3B Background: This is based on a plot from the forum roleplay I am a part of, in which Baelfire and Tinkerbell are best friends. As the site is AU, Baelfire did die but was then brought back after being on Neverland for a short period. If interested, you can read the reunion between Baelfire and Tinkerbell here, but I really got stuck on this tidbit of Hook finding Tink just after, so I’d love to play it out. I would prefer established Tinkerhook, but am open to something platonic as well.
It had finally come, the time when Tink had to confront all the awful things she had done on Neverland. The list wasn’t short She just hadn’t expected it quite like this. It had never occurred to her that the confrontation would come in the form of her best friend and the disappointment in Bae’s face. Heartbreak and so many other emotions she had never wanted to be responsible for.
Only this morning she had thought him dead, only a week ago she had watched his body being buried in the ground. It should have been happy, to find out he was alive, but he had learned some things from Pan while away, some things Tink had never wanted him to find out. Namely, that she had brought Wendy to Pan when the girl first arrived on the island, despite being good friends with Baelfire at the time. Wendy was like a sister to him and leading her to Pan was a betrayal to Baelfire himself.
They had created a scene, though Bae had seemed more aware of himself than Tink had been, but he had had time to think about it, while Tink had to deal with both the shock of him being back and the rejection that she rightly deserved but hadn’t expected. To call her hysterical wouldn’t be far from the truth, as she had begged and pleaded with him to not leave her, to forgive her, even if she didn’t think she deserved it. Bae saying that to her had made her finally realize that she didn’t even deserve him as a friend and that she wasn’t good for him at all. How could she be when she had lied just as his own father had, just as his mother had. Her own heart had shattered into a million pieces and that’s when she had finally left him in Granny’s, sipping coffee while she ran through the town and to the docks, lungs fluttering painfully.
She had managed to make it to the Jolly Roger, which was blessedly empty, being the middle of the day. The crew had already gotten up for the day and finished their morning routine, meaning they were free to do as they pleased. Usually that meant Cady’s or even Granny’s, which was gourmet compared to what they usually had aboard the ship. Either way, Tink was alone as she pressed to the side of the ship and sun to the ground, pulling her knees up to her chest. Her features wavered as she tried to keep herself together but after a moment, she pressed her face to her knees and wept, entire body wracked by sobs.
