HI! Idk if you’ll read this but I have a lot to say! So I just finished reading TLHC and trust me when I say I am damaged from that fic. I have so many questions. I wonder if Yoongi truly loves Y/N? The reason being is Yoongi has fallen in love with guys before (Daniel and Hoseok) but Yoongi mentions how he’ll take time to be with Y/N. Is this him saying I’m trying to learn how to love you despite his sexuality or I am just assuming it. As well I feel that Hoseok and Yoongi truly love each pt1.

Adding to that even if they did date and knowing the emotional baggage they’ll face wouldn’t the pain be worth it? Since there was this one scene where Yoongi and Hoseok wanted to hold hands but they didn’t but they wanted. Usually I’m a sucker for Reader x Character but this fic has really got me thinking

so to answer your questions... well, yoongi is actually bisexual in my au, so it’s not really a matter of y/n being a girl that has him taking his time with y/n... i think that above all else, the reason why yoongi handles love with so much trepidation is because of his past trauma when it comes to love. first, his grandma, then daniel, then hoseok... you can’t really blame him for being afraid of going through all that again with y/n. in fact, you could technically say he’s already gone through heartbreak with y/n, if you count the time she left him behind for seoul. ofc, it’s not her fault that she left early, but the fact that she hadn’t been there to ground him during his most vulnerable time really fucked him up even though he doesn’t like to admit it.

as for hoseok and yoongi... well, of course they could’ve gotten together. in another lifetime, they might have worked out in the end. you’re right in saying that they love each other, but the reason why i chose y/n and yoongi to get together was mostly because of, well, timing. not to be cheesy or wtvr, but you know how they say “you meet the right people during the wrong time” and those people just become... what-ifs? that’s sope in a nutshell. hoseok just wasn’t the right person for yoongi at the time. he had too many internal problems going on, which frankly will take a loooong time for him to get over. and yoongi, for all the love he has for hoseok, just isn’t equipped to help him get better. you can’t glue two broken glass shards together and expect the bond to be seamless... but you’re right. they do love each other... it was just a matter of circumstance :-(
