If you were definitely through with Sherlock Holmes why wasn't the body there. Why are we relying on an off-stage death and Doctor Watson's deductions, which have, to that point, always been wrong. The mere fact that Doctor Watson declares it was obvious what had happened should set alarm bells around the world saying 'What do you mean? Obvious to you, Doctor Watson, who have never been right about a single thing?!'
