When our monsters like each other...
Hello. There was a great part in TLD, in which subconscious Mary tells John that
Mary in JW: He [Sherlock] is the cleverest man in the world, but he’s not a monster. JW: Yeah, he is. Yeah, OK, all right, he is.
Mary/JW: Agh! But he’s our monster.
John thinks that Sherlock is His monster. That he will always be on his side. He might be a lunatic, criminal, dangerous sociopath, but he is HIS monster. He hurt John many times even if he didn’t actually want to. But he still loves him and cares about him. He didn’t kill Mary. He would never do that to him. But at that moment he pushed this feeling away. And people are not really mentioning about this.

EVERY SEASON WE GET ONE STEP CLOSER TO THEM SAYING "My John" AND "My Sherlock".
LET THEM SAY IT. LET THEM LOVE EACH OTHER, and NEED TO BE EACH OTHER'S "Mine".
ANYWAY. Yes, I loved this line. It's a term of endearment for John. He loves Sherlock so much and is slowly coming to accept it.
I'm sad that this came before the brutal beating of Sherlock, but John still feels lots of remorse for that, and Sherlock accepted his apology.
