I'm 99.9999% sure that Scully is not expect a baby, but if that's the case, the only explanation I can find is that Chris wants to imply that William was also concived naturally and that CSM is lying, otherwise how would it be possible for M & S to repeat the miracle? This time there was no kidnapping or IVF, this baby is 100% theirs, therefore, so is William. But here, Chris would take bad writing to a whole new level.

That would also imply that Chris Carter gives a flying fuck about continuity.
