Truthfully this is not a great song. In fact, one of their weakest songs in their entire discography. That being said, it is Young Tegan at her craziest. Are they speaking about trees? Is she speaking about weed (aka trees)? Is it just a word salad so they had enough songs for their first album?

Life Goal: Yelling for "Our Trees" at a Tegan and Sara show.
T&S plot to steal their band’s children, hired Gabe because he asked how tired they were of industry people “mansplaining” to them, and then Sara takes requests from the audience for them to try to sing some of their older songs - and they try - which is hilarious! (Come on guys, couldn’t SOMEONE have started Tegan off on “Our Trees”??? It could have been epic! ;)
Also, I was just WAITING for someone to yell for “Our Trees”... because this is what happened when my friend Scott yelled for them to sing it in 2008, as a joke!! Haha... Tegan was getting so upset, and I was like, “It’s Scott, it’s just Scott!” and she was like, Scott, you asshole, stop that!
