Maybe he dies and comes back as kid Loki. Maybe he does die by Thor's hand and Thor brings him back as kid loki because he's going mad with guilt about killing him. *flies away*

//This thought occurred to me with TDW and does again with Ragnarok. It's not so much Loki dying that I fear, because in the comics he dies iskatrillion times and comes back (most notably it's about the deal he made with Hela about the Book of Hel and erasing his name from it).  What I worry about is more of a meta nature:  what will the writers and directors do to his personality and motives?  Will they make him atrociously evil, and completely out of character? Will they do Thor the same disservice and revert him to a state of bull-headed arrogance? Or will the two get their heads out of their asses and actually work together to reverse Surtur's damage? 

Honestly, if they give a damn about the character development in TDW, they will either reunite them completely or tear them entirely asunder.  A lot of it will concern the circumstances of Odin's death, how Thor takes the knowledge that Loki was the hand behind it, and what Loki will be willing to share throne-wise with Thor.
