8. What is something they cannot resist?

pots: oooh, so many things. a good fight, anything unadvisable but fun, a dare. she’s not big on self-restraint in general, except controlling her anger. that’s the one thing her barb dads taught her - to save all anger for when it matters

hallas: power. and because he very much believes that knowledge is power, knowledge.

32. Does your character daydream? What do they usually keep their mind occupied with?

pots: she’s a no thoughts, head empty kinda gal, so idk if she ever rly “keeps her mind occupied with” anything, i mean i’m only half-joking when i say she probably uses all of our downtime doing push-ups. idk if she really daydreams - she lives in the moment and doesn’t plan for stuff nor is there rly anything she desires, other than to just have good time. she does spend quite some time thinking about what his dads are doing w/o her, especially at night when there’s nothing else to keep her occupied

hallas: my warlock, on the other hand, never stops thinking. he hasn’t had time to daydream in a while, but he used to daydream about what his arcane research was going to reveal. now his mind is occupied with what happened in that one accident + what the fuck is he going to do now. also, recently, his new not-daughter has taken up a lot of brain energy 

36. What makes them blush?

pots: pots is chill & i don’t think she blushes at compliments or innuendos or teasing etc. embarrassing displays of affection from her dads in front of anyone she wants to impress tho? that does it

hallas: this man is a MESS. he will blush at everything and anything

53. What does freedom mean to them?

pots: freedom to choose your own path

hallas: being powerful enough to not bow down to anyone else’s will

69. Which do they value more? Journey or Destination?

pots: JOURNEY

25. What is your favorite snack for d&d?

Mmm ideally anything salty, but it is annoying to have your fingers all oily and salty... So fries eaten with a fork i guess? Not that i ever had them while playing. I mostly just have dinner when we play

35. Favorite classic d&d trope?

oh i have many. Dragons just in general for starters. And traps in dungeons, especially for low-level adventurers. But also! Oh! A dwarven city in a mountain, i love them they're the best

39. Favorite villain you've defeated?

i have to say, the fight against Bitch Nephew is one of my favourite to date. *Because* it was so quick 😂 it left us with this strong sense of power, it was great. Although he's not exactly memorable as a villain himself because he died so soon. Dien is a villain i was sad we killed, not because he didn't deserve it, but because he had been such a staple of our games i missed not having him as antagonist anymore

4. favourite dish specific for your country

Nooo you can't ask me to pick one 🥺 sigh i guess i'll pick the most local dish: capellacci alla zucca con ragù my beloved

13. does your country (or family) have any specific superstitions or traditions that might seem strange to outsiders?

I don't know if other countries do this: when you accidentally tip over the salt shaker, you gotta take some of the salt that fell out and throw it behind your back to make bad luck go away. I suppose it all comes from the inherent value that salt had in the past

16. which stereotype about your country you hate the most and which one you somewhat agree with?

I mean. Aren't all stereotypes kinda true. I don't like when people mock our talking with gestures. Which is true but not like that. And foreigners always risk mixing up a normal sign for a rude one. As for the saying that italians eat pasta everyday. Well. Yeah. Duh. Why wouldn't you. And all those italians who don't eat it once a day (e.g. for work or diet reasons) wish they could.

29. does your region/city have a beef with another place in your country?

my town as a beef with the town of comacchio for. Several reasons. They are more know as a touristic location but objectively their town has no shops and is kinda dying inside. But we have an ancient abbey on our territory which they want. We want a strip of beach because we have none but they will give it to us only if we give them the abbey and lmao you fucking wish. They threatened to move under another province and ditch us all. For the church, we are one diocese and we all low-key hate that.

For my sweet girl Henka:

22. what’s your character’s ideal way to wake up? what usually wakes them up?

Waken up by the literal morning light, so not opposed to waking up early in the summer. She usually wakes her up on her own; as a ranger I suppose she’s pretty good at setting her own mental alarm and just having a sense of time in general. Her mum liked waking her up, but Henka would often be up and about before there was any chance for that.

23. what’s the pettiest thing your character’s ever done?

Henka is not the pettiest person, but she’s got a brother! I guess the two of them often “casually” hid stuff from each other when they happened to be angry at each other. Oh, where’s your axe you say? I have no idea...

30. how has your character’s first impressions of their party members changed since they met them? have they stayed the same?

Henka is also part of “I thought Milda was a cinnamon roll and boy was I wrong”. But damnnn, sassy Milda is the best. Henka is also very impressed by the fact that Romilda speaks Giant and hopes that’ll be helpful in bettering her own literacy of Common.

When Henka first met Jorge she was a bit thrown off by how put together he looked. You know, fancy outfit, fancy beard, this dude’s got life figured out, why would he need our help? But now that Moonmama is going wild with the prophetic dreams Jorge feels much more like the rest of us, and Henka definitely wants to know more about him and his family.

As for Pots, well, her big guns definitely left an impression on Henka. Henka always saw Pots as akin, as someone that would perhaps enjoy the wilderness, fighting creatures, drinking ale by the fire, and getting lots of tattoos. Since Pots revealed to be the daughter of 23 “respectable” sailors, Henka has a mighty need to A) see the sea for the first time and B) meet Pots' parents

And Liberty, oh Liberty. Probably assigned rogue at birth. Henka's first thought was “oh I’m glad she’s on our side and not against us”. Liberty seems to have a passion for money that Henka doesn’t understand, coming from a bartering society, and she might be hoarding more money that Liberty thinks. I have to be honest Liberty was the first character with which Henka had her first good emotional moment: it was the chat on the roof, after the mushroom-induced ghost experience. It was really touching both for me and Henka. In that moment Henka realised that Liberty and her perhaps had more in common that they thought 😘

5.How does your character express they’re comfortable?

She smiles, and she just hangs around people, quite close, looking over their shoulder, curious about what they’re doing. It isn’t about physical touch as much as physical proximity. She probably hasn’t done that much with the Bullies Crimson Fellowship yet because she’s self-conscious about her height, she doesn’t want to loom over her friends like a tall, pale, pole.

27.If they were a ghost, how would they haunt in the afterlife?

oh god she’d be the real worst, crying all the time. Just picture Moaning Myrtle, except she’d haunt a person instead than a place.

36.What makes them blush?

compliments, definitely, even from her own mother.

53.What does freedom mean to them?

ah, being from a culture that values communal living, for Henka freedom isn’t about leaving to be independent. It’s more freedom from worries: knowing you can count on other people, that you don’t have to do everything (hunt, cook, clean, raise the kids, protect the clan,....) yourself.
