“I Am a Superwoman” celebrates the birth of the Women’s Rights Movement, which began with five ordinary/extraordinary women at a Tea party on July 9, 1848. At that time women couldn’t vote, get an education, or own property in this country. In fact, they were often considered property themselves. But those courageous ladies (and the men who stood with them) had a vision. They risked everything for equality. We have come far since then, but we are not there yet. It’s our turn to step up & continue the evolution. Own our voice. Own our rights. Own our power and influence. We remind everyone of what they know deep inside, you have rights just by being alive!
