~Mr. Darcy~ Darcy and Elle a match made in Seattle! Originally published November 10, 2020 and currently has a solid 4 stars on good reads! Both PNW and Louisville devoured this #OurVoices Romance novel. This was the first LGBTQ novel I had ever picked up and honestly was mostly excited to read about a place I’ve already been, but was pleasantly surprised and found myself getting into the growing connection between our main characters. This book was a quick read and Portland Jess calls is a full sensory story, and Louisville Jess puts it “it’s getting everything wet!”.  The connections growing were subtle and believable. Typically for a romance novel you expect over the top dialog and a times cringe descriptions of steamy scenes. That was NOT the case here and it seemed so thought out and real. I really feel these people are real and folks I’d want to be friends with. This book wasn’t soapy cilantro for us! We loved the story, the atmosphere that Bellefleur creates, the tasteful and still super sexy sex scenes (there’s two!) all around great fun to read and we will for sure be reading the next sequel.
