The Forest
Daybreak brings the will of runners and the hearts of those finding themselves in love. Passing under the forest these folk walk as shadows , hidden from the rest of the world around them. Time watches them as they soak in vibrant warmth, his gaze passing from each to another, knowing the show has yet to begin. Finally, as day turns to dusk, turns to dark, the shadows fade as new spirits emerge. We walk as silent as spiders, careful not to upset the whispers of those we share the forest with. We seek nothing but solitude among each other, for only we understand the serenity of our place. Time watches over us careful not to call the sun too quickly, for darkness as quiet as an ocean bottom is our domain. Letting our minds wader into into the night sky as adventurers of new realms for which dreams float like clouds, we wonder when we became shades of night. Surrounded by trees, stout and flourishing, I let my mind float past crystal shores, awakening my imagination, and offering it to the dreams of those who have claimed sleep. As my imagination shares breath with the dreams of others, Time whispers he must call the warmth back to the world. As those who live and love alike flock back to the forest, we retreat back to reality, waiting once more for Time to call us back to our realm.
