The iconic Blue Heeler Pub which is where Waltzing Matilda was first sung in a pub. It dates back to the 1860' and was a staging place for Cobb & Co coaches. It is also where Banjo Paterson witnessed the Macphersons shouting the shearer's a drink after settling a civil dispute where the Shearers burnt down Macphersons shearing sheds and destroyed 145 of his jumbucks. Instead of killing each other they had a drink and sang country songs which ended the widespread civil unrest.
