"maybe I could make us breakfast in the morning." (leon to ada)
Ada turned away in a poor attempt to hide her smile, which was growing by the minute. Maybe Leon hadn’t outright said that he wanted her to stay the night, but his words implied it, and she stood up from her spot on the windowsill. The cool autumn breeze permeated the air, so Ada had worn her red sweater dress in an attempt to remind Leon of their shared history. She usually didn’t rewear garments, but tonight, it seemed, broke all of her rules.
“I’d like that,” she admitted. It was surprisingly vulnerable; the actress had taken her final bow, and now she got to live her life however she wanted. No teasing remarks, no haunting the narrative, no playing the femme fatale to his G.I. Joe. Just Ada and Leon in his apartment. “You know, assuming you can cook.”
Ada’s gaze turned soft as she got closer to Leon. She hesitated before offering her hand to him. Years ago tonight, she’d dropped his hand, falling into the abyss. But that was years ago, and that wound had faded into a scar a long time ago. Ada didn’t bother to close the window after she got up from its sill; it had become something of a tradition for her to pay him a visit every so often after a successful mission by breaking in through the window.
Ada wanted to press him for information about the mission, but one look at his facial expression told him everything she needed to know. She offered him a smile — a genuine one, this time — and quickly pressed her gift into his palm: a small souvenir magnet she’d bought in China. Now, they had something to represent all of their chance meetings. It was the anniversary of the night they’d met, she was wearing the dress she wore in Spain, and she’d gifted him a magnet. Would he connect the dots? Only time would tell, she supposed.
“Consider it a belated housewarming gift,” she said. Ada hesitated before continuing. “I missed you, Leon.”
Paperwork was never something that Jill enjoyed . Even so , it occupied most of her nights , her evenings - it was better than staying up only to stare at the ceiling and think .
Maybe a part of it rested in the guilt that still bore itself heavy on her soul , perhaps it was needing something to do , to focus herself on something that wasn't the anger she felt towards the organization for refusing to put her back in the field , the anger that they wanted her on the sidelines - they said until she recovered properly , but Jill wasn't a fan of their excuses . Even still , she would take what she could get - it would at least assuage part of herself , knowing she was one step further to fixing what had happened the last year .
The ex-cop had been up since the little hours of the morning , stirred awake by nightmares , and unable to return to the peace sleep was supposed to bring . Now , she was sat in front of the desk in a room that she had designated as her home office , papers strewn across the polished wood , empty pens accompanying half-finished reports , a radio resting towards her side . A hand ran through her hair as she let out a long exhale , blue ink scrawled across the stapled parchments in front of her .
Movement out of the corner of her eyes , the soft clink of ceramic as it was placed on the table in front of her , a stack of freshly-made pancakes resting on them . Jill's gaze flicked away from the paper , the stark white almost seared into vibrant blue - she would not complain if she did not have to see any more of those typed letters from a printer that was definitely running out of ink . She could see the cracks in the black , in the gray .
The pen was still held tight in her hand - half full with the cap practically snapped off . A moment passed , and she set it down , turning her gaze to the man standing at her side then .
"Didn't know you were up this early ." Exhaustion was written in her tone , letting out a soft breath .
Ah, the return to the mountains. Sam hadn't thought of going back here until Josh had personally invited her and she had decided to have a friend tag along. Stepping out of the car and into the cold open air, Sam stretched. The drive up had been a long one and she was itching to stretch her legs.
The cold air felt nice, perking her up as it caressed her cheeks. It was as beautiful as she remembered it but at the same time she could feel the pain in her chest expanding because never again would she be standing here with Hannah and Beth. They were a huge part of these little getaways. Now they were here in their honor.
Mentally shaking the thought away, she turned to face her friend and flash a broad grin.
"You ever ride a cable car before, Emma? If not, it's your lucky day!"
If this was his idea of cooling off, she liked it. Ashley moaned a little as she felt the cool sting move from her belly down to her thighs, and she reached down, fingers raking through soft hair. “Mmmm…Leon…” she murmured, her hips thrusting up a little once he glided the ice cube over her sensitive nub. “You really home?”
This felt too good to be true, but she wasn’t going to question why he was back earlier than expected. He was there, between her legs, and his palms seemed to be gripping her thighs and keeping them spread open enough for him.
'I Thought You Were Dead' Prompts - Still Accepting
"Jill..." His voice is softer than it normally is as he locks his gaze with hers. Brown eyes sting with emotion at seeing her and hearing her words. Without realizing it, his hands ball into fists. "How could you even ask that? Of course I did. Every. Single. Day. I promised you I'd always have your back. When the hell have you known me to break a promise?"
Send 🪢 for our muses to be handcuffed together without the key (ada from leon)
Ada sighed in annoyance at the new tech that seemed to interrupt the signal transmitting her real time location inside the castle, so much for the convenience of prep time and being able to infiltrate without the layout of the whole building.
"We're caught", She said matter of factly to the man beside her Leon, the name rolled right of her thoughts as this setting could be romantic yet everytime he had to yank, pull and force the shackles caused pain on her wrists as the inside spikes were pressuring into her but she couldn't begin to argue as she knew it was in him to keep on trying.
"If could please sit down, so we can plan together they wouldn't attend to you soon enough they can tell you are actively trying to escape", She said trying to reason with him.
@outbreaksurvived | Claire & Leon | liked for a starter
It had been a while since the last time she had seen or spoken to Leon for a while after the whole Raccoon City events. And what they both had to go through to survive it all. Of course there was contact here and there after they escaped, somehow the contact sort of watered. Maybe it was her fault or just the both of them, life can get in the way of things right. Claire was in her apartment getting up as she stretches, walking to the kitchen to make herself a cup of coffee. A yawn escaped while running her hand through her hair. Yes she did take Sherry with her when they escaped and to be fair that girl was still living with her, until she would have things figured out on what to do.
Suddenly hearing a knock on the door as she frowned, she didn't expected anyone. Let alone people knowing where she lives, the girl never really told her address to anyone. "Coming." Putting her cup of coffee down on the counter, approaching the door, unlocking it before opening. the door as she saw someone she hadn't seen in so long. "Leon." Claire managed to say, this was not who she expected to be at the door, then again she didn't expected anyone. "What are you doing here? I mean come in."
"So you're with Umbrella. I'm guessing you and Carlos know each other pretty well." (Jill, after Apocalypse)
"I was with Umbrella," Rain corrected. She leaned back further on the worn couch in their cheap motel room, scratching at the faint teeth marks hidden by the sleeve of her bomber jacket. "But I quit pretty fuckin' quickly after I realized what their research actually entailed."
It had been about a week since her former employer decided to nuke Raccoon City. Now, because they all knew too much, Rain and the other survivors who made it out alongside her were considered fugitives in their database, meaning they had to lay low.
"Yeah, Oliveira is a good friend of mine. We hang out together. Even though I wasn't in the U.B.C.S., we'd train together. And considerin' what happened to all my other friends, he's the only one I've got left now... from before all this bullshit happened, anyway."
She watched Jill for a moment, studying her.
"This better not turn into an interview or somethin' 'cause I was already over that when Terri was tryin' it."
