Purple.

Lily Evans was wearing purple sneakers.

John Watson blushed, sitting on the brick wall facing Hagrid’s cabin and hitting his head against the wall in angst.

"You haven’t a chance, John," came the ever-supportive observation of Sherlock Holmes.

"Don’t you think I know that?" John moaned, staring enviously at the four boys surrounding her. James, Remus, Sirius, and Peter had been showing off in the grounds before her, bullying Severus Snape by making him levitate above Hagrid’s angry dog. Lily turned away, unimpressed, and chattered away with her colorful companion, Tonks. 

"She’s a prefect, John," Sherlock said, “I doubt she’s even noted your existence. She fancies James Potter anyways. He’s rumoured to take your place as Gryffindor seeker."

"Thanks for the input, Sherlock! Now if you’d leave me to my sulking, that’d be great. I’d rather not be kicked while I’m already down." John snapped.

Sherlock adapted a wounded look to his face, 

"John, I didn’t mean-"

"Just go!" John shouted.

Sherlock stormed away then turned around halfway down the lawn, his eyes reckless, and shouted, 

"I’m damned! I’ve fallen in love with John Hamish Watson! Someone burn me. Burn the heart out of me!" then he pointed his wand and a window shattered in front of him, the glass shooting toward him, the shards burning like fire.

John leaped forward, whipped out his wand and shouted, “SCOTIO AQUAMENTE!" and a shield of water erupted in front of Sherlock, deflecting the glass and leaving Sherlock lying on the ground.

John ran to him and broke through the accumulated crowd,

"Sherlock-" he began, overwhelmed.

He swallowed the lump in his throat, looked around nervously, then opened his mouth, empty words falling out of it and pouring onto the ground.

"I love you too, I think." John said, grabbing Sherlock’s hand and helping him up.

Sherlock smiled with lips turned purple from the cold.

Not trying to start anything, simply stating something here but… I don’t think it’s fair to condemn a show based on...

no, that was not a serious reason at all, just something that amused me

I base my dislike of sherlock on having seen both sherlock and elementary and experiences with both fanbases and come to the conclusion that elementary is ((in my humble opinion)) better written, better acted, more enjoyable, and has a better fanbase C: but you are welcome to your own opinion
