⋆ ◦ ° ☾ a note on text threads.

hey guys ! so, for the past couple of days admin nicole & i have noticed an increase on text threads on the dash. and for the most part they’re completely fine, after all, text threads are a quick, fun way to stay active without the effort of writing an actual, face-to-face thread. however, we have noticed that some players have completely stopped doing actual threads to focus solely on text threads, which can make it difficult to develop characters, plots and, quite honestly, can become quite a nuisance to other people. 

we really don’t like ( or want ) to tell our players how to rp within our group, but this is starting to become a problem since they seem to be leading to bubble rping for some people and even making the dash slow down considerably or even stop moving altogether and it’s starting to hurt the group as a whole. because of that we’re going to have to ask everyone to please keep text threads to a MINIMUM from now on, and focus a lot more on actual threads, be that long paras or short gif chats. thank you so much !

⋆ ◦ ° ☾ a note on anon hate.

hello, everyone ! for the past few days we’ve noticed a couple of people seem to be getting some nasty messages, and while we’ve been trying to deal with it internally, we decided we should also make a public post about it to warn our players.

the messages are being sent to random people, and they are fairly generic hate---- the admin team has a pretty good idea of who’s doing it, and we believe they’re just going through our blogroll and picking people at random just to start drama. so, if you receive one, please don’t take it to heart on how you portray your character or how you roleplay ! all this person wants is to attract attention to themselves, which comes to my next point: please do not post the messages you get. instead, message us about it ! 

we’re trying to gather evidence of who this person is before we confront them on it, and for that we need the exact time stamps of when the asks are being received so if it happens to you, please contact us about it ! we’ll ask you for a screenshot of the message with a time stamp, so please also don’t delete the message before we can talk to you. and, of course, if despite knowing this person isn’t choosing people to attack personally and simply firing hate at everyone they can still bothers you, we highly recommend turning off the anon feature until the problem can be dealt with. thank you so much for understanding, and we’re deeply sorry to see something so horrible happening on our dash.

⋆ ◦ ° ☾  a parting note.

hello, friends ! many of you don’t know this, but we first opened outlaws july of last year, and then revamped the group into what you know now by the end of october. this past thursday marked our seven months anniversary since our opening night, and it only makes it harder to write this note.

it’s been seven outstanding months for both nicole & i, and we’ve grown incredibly attached to many of our players, but we believe it is time to close down outlaws for good---- we had an incredible run, but it has come to a point where both admins feel like there is nothing the plot can give our players anymore; it hasn’t gone unnoticed to us how many of you have been dwindling down on muse ( myself included ), and while we know there are several factors that play into that, we also believe that it is because outlaws has given us & our members all that it could. right now, we think it’s better to close down the group and move onto new adventures and fresher plots.

we hope you guys can understand where we’re coming from, and we hope you’d like to stay in touch ! i’ll be posting my contact info on my characters’ blog in case you want to stay connected, and we encourage our players to do the same, as we believe we’ve been able to create a little rpc family here throughout the past few months. thank you so much for the amazing experience, we love you all !

⋆ ◦ ° ☾ a note on starter calls & tagging.

good morning friends !! admin nicole here with a little thing i would like to bring to everyone’s attention . as of late it’s become fairly popular habit for people to be tagging closed starter calls in our outlaw.start tag , and for some time we allowed it to continue because it hadn’t been an issue as long as the opens that were in the tag were being replied to as well . however , it seems that now it is becoming a growing issue and it is throwing off the balance between closed starters and opens in the tag where open starters are being buried beneath a slew of starter calls that are all getting mass amounts of notes !! this is not how the tag should look !! from this point forward we are asking that closed starter calls be kept solely to the ooc tag and also i’m going to take this moment to remind everyone that when you post closed starters you are still required to respond to opens in the tag prior otherwise you are breaking one of the most important rules in our group . it is also important to state that we do not want our members to feel discouraged in posting closed threads , but more importantly the group runs smoothest and most active when the starter tag is running with active , open starters being replied to  .

⋆ ◦ ° ☾ a note on major character plots.

hey guys ! in the past couple of days admin nicole & i have noticed that some of our players have been throwing around some pretty big plots for their characters without consulting / talking to us about it first. this can be sort of troublesome if the roleplay starts getting filled with unborn babies, marriages, large family ties, life-threatening illnesses, etc. and for some of those things we really need to put a very short cap on---- which is very hard to do when we don’t know what our players are planning to do with their characters until it has already been done. 

because of that, we’re adding to the rules that all major plots must be run by admins first ( please note that this also counts for information that you would put on your intro such as your character being chronically ill, being related to balthazar caito, etc ), so please don’t forget to message us about any major plot you’re planning ! and if you’re not sure if the plot you want to do can be considered a “major plot” ( we usually mean deaths, illnesses, pregnancies, gang-affiliation changes, stuff like that ) we’re always here for you so you can feel free to send us a message asking if what you want consists as such. thank you !

⋆ ◦ ° ☾ a note on our rules’ update.

our group has been open for around three months now, and we are incredibly grateful for the amazing, dedicated players we have helping up keep outlaw alive & thriving ! we’ve learned a lot about you guys in the past couple of months, as i’m sure you’ve learned about us, and with time we’ve realized our rules page was either too vague on certain subjects, or didn’t touch enough on certain things & it turned into a situation where nicole & i had to keep messaging people about things they weren’t expected to be aware of---- with the new year coming just around the corner, the admin team realized there was no better time to update our rules for a more organized 2019 than right now !

all of the rules you already know are still on the page, but we also added certain things---- we detailed more how we handle hiatuses, we added the fourth character possibility we opened up a while back, etc. this update won’t change a lot on how the group runs because we have been already running outlaws by these rules for over a month, we are just making them official now ! if you’re already a member, of you’re planning on applying, please make sure you read our 2019 rules right here !!

⋆ ◦ ° ☾ an important group update

good morning friends !! over the past week or so , admin fox and i have been working lowkey on a little addition to the group , feeling like it needed something new and fresh as we make our way into the new year . as you’ve all noticed we’ve updated our rules page but beyond that we felt like a lot of our positions within the gangs are filling up rather well . we came to an agreement , however , that instead of expanding the amount of slots per job we decided to add two new positions to the gang ranks !! make sure to check out the new jobs on the individual pages for the COBRAS and the SAVAGES !! also , in order to avoid too many characters changing their positions and taking all of the spots available , we are putting changes into the new positions on hold for twenty four hours, if you are bringing in a new character however, that is fine !!

hello everyone, admin fox here ! as some of you may have noticed, admin britt hasn’t been around on the main ( or her muses ) a lot in the past couple of weeks. after some turbulent weeks and some very serious family emergencies, however, britt decided that it is best for her to step away from the group for the time being.

 she asked me to make this post so people know that she didn’t ditch us, that she cares deeply about all of our beloved players, and that, in the right time, she will most definitely come back to us. as for the rest of the admin team, we both wish britt nothing but the best, and can’t wait to have her back !
