in a town of drug dealers , killers and gangbangers it’s hard to anticipate anything just remaining … simple , some would say . the pot luck --- an event sponsored by the desperate city hall in a final ditch effort to scourge up some semblance of peace in a town that had been war torn for months . tensions were high and the citizens of valdez remained on edge as they awaited the inevitable shoe to drop .
it wasn’t until the final breath of relief fell from one unknowing’s lips that the very aforementioned shoe … did drop . it was as festivities were coming to a close , event - goers were packing up their belongings and ready to turn in for the evening or hit up the bars for the weekend when shots were heard echoing in the parking lot . three loud bangs sounding following shortly after by screams of passerby . as everyone ran out to see what the commotion was , gasps were heard among the crowd , small cries at the image of two dropped bodies shoved carelessly between two cars had everyone scrambling .
the police were able to maintain the scene , but it took little effort to identify well known savage , former second in command and now late bookkeeper marius vasile who had fallen slain by a gunshot to the chest , and a civilian by the name of david hargove , who’s death by preliminary investigation seems to have been by the same cause . immediately everyone scattered to search for the shooter , their stories all the same . with three shots fired , could the shooter be injured ? is there another victim that lay waste to valdez’s gang war ?
needless to say , one thing is for certain , even a pot luck dinner in a town like this could end up deadly .
