Title and author: Outlaws of the Marsh (水浒传) by Shi Nai’an
Total pages: 848 or somewhere around that... depends on the translation I suppose.
Page you’re on: I have literally no idea, but out of 4 books I am like in the 5th chapter of book 2 (or something like that).
Thoughts so far: It’s a good read! I am just taking my sweet time to read it. Every chapter is written out like an episode of a tv show. The ending of each chapter is literally written as “As a result of person x’s actions, things were burned and people died and bandits marched. If you would like to know how these things came to be, keep reading to find out!” That part is always funny.
Also, if everyone could just start every encounter by saying “hey, my name is ___,” half of the conflicts could be resolved before they even start.
Try your best to guess how it will end: It is a pretty old book so I already have an idea of how it will end (I didn’t pay attention that day in Chinese Lit. so I don’t quite remember). Need to know stuff is violence and brotherhood. Violence and brotherhood everywhere.
