Honestly this is just one of maaaaaany reasons why Chris (said with distaste) is not qualified on any account to make an Odyssey movie (with the other reasons mostly just being "I think his vision sucks.")

Fanfic meme: "Oh, come on, don't try to fool us with that slag."
Send me an ask with the first sentence of a fanfic and I’ll write the next five.
“I never joke,” Soundwave said, so seriously, that Hot Rod almost believed him. The almost turned to very nearly certain when he stepped forward to rest a hand on his shoulder. “Not about things like this.”
Hot Rod drank in the sharp angles of Soundwave’s frame, trying to memorize the way the light reflected off his (nearly pristine) armor, and wondered how long Soundwave would keep the streaks of red paint that marred his plating.
“Well, alright then--let’s try this. Together.”
bloop!! :D
AJ has magic computer breaking powers, not just in the sense that her electroconductive abilities can fire at peak frustration, but also because she’s just magically able to invite every bug in a software to happen at once. It’s like a magic trick. She doesn’t really take it too personally, but it’s one of the reasons Lucy and her aren’t as close as they could be, because Lucy takes it to mean she’s one of those people who mistreats their phones/computers and then complains about them not working.

Go to your current work in progress, share the following, then tag at least 3 people. I’m tagging @angel-ascending and @megatronwasright and... no third one, b/c I don’t know who else is actively working on writing atm. I’m also cheating and giving a bit more context than just a single line, b/c the style of this thing is so clipped I feel like any individual line would not be very representative.
- The first line of the work:
”Mr Valentine, we’re five minutes out from Trost.”
The driver’s voice, coming through the speakers at the back of the Shadowfox, sounded tinny and muted. The ride from Junon had been uneventful and, after listening to the commercial radio news twice in a row, Vincent had asked the young sergeant to turn the radio off, spending most of the drive sitting in silence. His driver had probably forgotten to turn the volume back up, thinking Vincent had been sleeping.
- The first line of your current chapter.
Vincent caught up to Reeve at the double-doors. They moved inside, Reeve’s annoyed stride unbroken, setting a brisk pace through the crowd while Vincent trailed behind him, watching the mass of people for potential threats – but mostly watching Reeve.
He was looking deceptively at-ease, returning the occasional greeting and briefly engaging in question-dodging with a few of the more curious guests, but by the time they reached the back of the room, Reeve was frowning. It wasn’t hard to guess why – they’d been getting enough meaningful looks to show that their rushing had not gone unnoticed. - The last line you wrote.
The minister rolled his eyes while speaking, and when he’d finished, his gaze landed on Vincent. He opened his mouth as if to address him, before closing it again, and turning back to Reeve.
“May I speak freely around him?”
“Go ahead”, Reeve said, nodding in affirmation. “Vincent is my shadow.”
“Yes”, Leman said, giving Vincent a sweeping glance, “and a rather striking shadow he is.”
- A line for a chapter/part you haven’t written yet.
I’m actually writing this thing in order so I don’t have anything for the future chapters, and I’m not quite out of the Six Year Cocktail Party yet. The last line is where the thing ends.

I’m just gonna warn you this is gonna be like three solid paragraphs of gushing before I get to the point. Might as well tip my hand early, I mean, this is my favourite TFP character we’re talking about.
Everything in how I write Wheeljack flows from him being brilliant -- however, it’s not necessarily b/c he’s the smartest one in the room. Cognitively, Wheeljack has all the complexity of a bar of ore, he just thinks very fast, making quantitative judgements and iterating his thinking at a rate that usually puts him at about two thirds of a plan of action where most people around him are still working out what’s going on.
At the root of his intuition and ability to cut halfway through a problem in a single cognitive leap is his excellent situational awareness. His tendencies towards risk-taking are less an expression of his personality and more just a direct consequence of being able to quickly and accurately assess situations. Even when he’s off-base, he’s still fast enough to just make up a new plan as the initial one is failing.
Although that being said, his risk-taking is also informed by him having an actively pleasure-seeking personality. He gets bored if he’s not meaningfully occupied, and doing things that aren’t enriching is just huge fucking hassle he doesn’t want to deal with. This is what causes a lot of his issues with authority -- he doesn’t mind being told what to do as much as he minds people depriving him of the chance to figure out how to do it.
Oriented towards goals, plans and action as he is, he deals very badly with uncertainty. Even when there’s not enough information to make an intuitive leap, there’s always enough to go on for him to jump into a conclusion. That’s where his brilliance turns into his biggest weakness -- what he doesn’t notice or think of might as well not exist as far as he’s concerned, which is a bit of a disaster for him b/c despite being an obligate Firm Believer In Himself, that reliance on his own viewpoint doesn’t always translate to meaningful self-confidence. Being decisive is easy. Being sure of yourself isn’t.
My original phrasing of this last point was that as a consequence he’s absolute garbage at emotions, but... Honestly, not really. Like with his arrogance, there’s an element of truth to his immaturity, but mostly it’s just an affect, and he has no difficulties with his own emotional truths. The core issue is that he’s uncomfortable with emotions, and pretty damn bad at communicating about them, because with emotions, he’s never quite on as strong a footing as he’d hope, and can’t make the kind of quick, accurate judgements about them that he can make about other things.
Hmm.... this does look cool! What about 19 for tfp Arcee?
People they’ve hurt or indirectly killed, and how it affected them
You know, she was a scout – well, actually, she was probably more like a commando than a scout, but still a deep frontliner used to working ways away from any backup, and whenever she lost someone, we saw her take that to herself so strong that I feel like if sometime in the war, she would have provided bad intel, she would have taken the ensuing losses to be her fault. That just seems to be how she works – if she was involved, it was on her.
Maybe it wasn’t just Tailgate who died because she let herself be captured.
