ooc: I agree DD missed so much development for Phoenix as he tries to rebuild his reputation. Which is why I have an AJ AU where Phoenix didn't lose his badge but got a penelty instead. Everything plays out as it did.. ( except Phoenis is a legal aid/ courtroom artist) except Phoenix is (w)righting a wrong that was unjustly given to him. He also states that the Ace was a replica and at the end of 4:1 Phoenix shows a photo of the original ace to Apollo.

Yeah: which is why it probably would have been smart if we had gotten like a equal to AJ and THEN Dual Destinies, since that game had introduced Athena it was about her. 

But ooh, that sounds very interesting! If he didn’t lose his badge, I think he definitely wouldn’t had allowed that to happen to him and try to get to the bottom of things. Nice job!

Here's the anon who sent that mean ask. ;_; I love Phoenix as well and I think he's a good person and I'm sorry I was so mean. I just think that AA5 missed so much by not acknowledging what he did in AA4 was bad, as well as that those seven years have irreparably changed him. There are likely other people he might have wronged who won't forgive him. And he must hiding a lot of self-hate if he changed his outward persona so strongly within a year.

No, no, it’s okay, I’m not angry at you! And I agree, Phoenix is not perfect and has done some awful things. And while I can understand that losing your job and people seeing you in a bad light when it wasn’t your fault can change you greatly, it still was not right of him to do certain things. 

I really hope Ace Attorney mentions this again, because I really want to see in person Phoenix at least apologizing to Apollo for making him present forged evidence, and to see how Phoenix /really/ has been feeling all this time, because honestly, he’s a very hard guy to red, y’know?
