Shirou's room is open for investigation! Unforutnately I haven't finished my room page so please investigate either via asks or Skype, either is fine!
Alright, I traditionally do these before a game starts so here goes. :V A certain number of facts about Shirou that may or may not add up to thirty-five depending on how many things I can think of.
He lives in Saitama Prefecture.
He has three older siblings-- one sister and two brothers.
His brothers are fraternal twins.
He has a pet red factor canary, her name is Ringo.
He's familiar with the art of flower arrangement, both European-style flower language bouquets and ikebana.
He's Filipino-Japanese but he was born in America because his backstory is [sitcom laugh track] and I'm still not sure how he got in.
He's...technically kind-of-sort-of-trilingual! His English is very good, as is his Japanese (though he tends to come across as extremely stiff and formal and very textbooky) but his Filipino...isn't quite so much.
His mother is Filipino and she's the one who's teaching him.
She only started recently though, which is why his grasp of the language is a bit shaky.
His maternal grandparents are from Manila! They moved to America before his mother was born.
Meanwhile his paternal grandparents are also in Saitama-- his father's side of the family has lived there for ages.
Shirou is the baby of the family and very obviously the favorite child.
Gardening is one of his foremost hobbies.
He's...a little bit sensitive about his talent and how people react to it.
As much as he likes his work there is a stigma against mortuary workers in Japan and he knows it.
He's not a certified mortician, so he doesn't actually handle dead bodies-- he just does everything else you need to have in a funeral, hence his title.
He really likes birds, they're his favorite kind of animal-- he doesn't have the time for birdwatching, even though he'd like to.
He's Catholic just like mom. :V Not obnoxiously so, though.
He does have a passing interest in theology and the history of religion, that being said.
There is not a horror movie on the face of the earth that can faze him. He'll watch just about anything with a straight face while eating.
His favorite flower is amaranth.
He hates gardenias for inexplicable reasons (no but there is one it's just...mildly spoilery...)
Shirou has the technological expertise of a sixty-year old Mennonite. He still keeps paper records of most things.
He's very meticulously organized, to give him some credit.
He'll probably melt if it's sufficiently hot outside. Shirou does not like the heat.
...He doesn't really like much physical activity either.
He smiles a lot. Not a very genuine one, just a polite businessperson smile.
In fact his expression doesn't change much. It's pretty unsettling.
It doesn't show up on any of his dollmakers thanks to limited options but...if you look closely enough at the whites of Shirou's eyes, they're not actually white. They're tinted bluish-grey. Why? Well, [DATA EXPUNGED]
Shirou has zero problems working on little to no sleep. He's used to it.
He's definitely a morning person-- you'll frequently find him up around five or six in the morning.
He's not that nearsighted-- he's probably around 20/60 or so.
Shirou almost never raises his voice, ever, under any circumstance.
His birthday is October 15th!
That makes him a Libra IIRC. :V
I introduced myself last night in the OOC chat but I know that not everyone was awake/around then so...
Hi! I'm Yuro, and I'm a neutrois person so they/their/them pronouns please! I'll be playing Shirou Sonozaki, the SHSL Funeral Director. You may or may not remember me as playing Yukito in Trials of Desperation and Chisato in DA4. I don't really need anything tagged per se, so no worries about that. My time zone is EST but my sleep schedule is so [sitcom laugh track] that it hardly matters.
As for recognizing Shirou, it's...not likely, unless they a.) live in the general area of Saitama, and b.) had a death in the family where they were heavily involved in creating the funeral arrangements for said person. He won't be offended at all if you don't recognize him, and he's probably going to try to spend a lot of time dodging around what his title actually is so it's for the best. /o/
