2. What got you into RPing?
I always, always, ALWAYS loved making up stories about characters I liked or I had made ever since I was a little kid. To be honest with my little plastic toys I had some of the most complex play times ever had by a six year old when I was little but as I grew that didn’t change I just didn’t do it so much with plastic toys. In middle school I met other friends who liked stories as well and we started making them up together, we didn’t write anything down just told them to each other.
It was sort of like…LARPing almost but exclusively through words.
After a while myself and some of my best friends even now stayed pretty serious about it to the point we started just corresponding online over IM systems to role play even when we were apart.
From there my love of it just grew, it was perfect to me the best way to collaborate telling stories with others without getting strange looks in public for myself and my friends spouting apparent ‘nonsense’ around strangers. Some of my friends sort of grew out of it as we graduated high school but, myself and a few others do it quite often still. I for one though, can’t get enough unlike many of them and have turned to things like Tumblr and other means to be able to write even more and with new and interesting people as well as my faithful ol’ partners form back in the day who still write with me.
TL;DR: It’s been my passion since I was a child and the fire hasn’t died since.
4. Do you have a job?
I am a full time computer science student, that is my occupation I am paid in suffering and broken code.
6. What’s your favorite part about RPing?
I sort of covered it above but, I’ve always loved story telling and while I do occasionally write fanfiction it has always been way more fun to me to write with others. Seeing how different people’s takes on characters are written and how someone’s muse reacts to something mine did is always the funnest and most satisfying thing about the art.
8. How far do you plan story stuff?
It really depends, I free style a lot on Tumblr not planning out too far ahead for fear of upsetting a partner unless we’ve figured out the plot a ways ahead TOGETHER. However, in personal RPs with friends I’ve been known to plot out entire STORY-LINES that take MONTHS to finish.
10. What is one of your strengths?
As a writer or a person?
As a writer I like to think I’m very adaptable I’m capable of writing (while not all) a very VERY large variety of different characters. I can also always lower or raise the word count of replies without forcing it naturally depending on what my partners write.
As a person?
I’m stubborn and tenacious to a fault, I hit a flat wall and when I can’t claw my way over or go through start to dig my way under despite digging through the dirt being more work.
12. What is the last book comic you have read?
A webcomic called Satan and Me.
14. What is the last song you listened to?
The entire first Starbomb album? I think the last song on it is “Simple Plot of Final Fantasy XII” or something like that so that I guess.
16. Favorite show?
I don’t really have a favorite show? I don’t watch a lot of shows I enjoy them throughly but i prefer reading manga and comics to watching things.
Steven Universe is pretty cute but I haven’t seen nearly all of it and I couldn’t call it my FAVORITE, the way I have favorite manga’s, comics, etc I just don’t feel as strongly about any TV shows right now.
18. Least favorite song/band?
It’s more like a type of song/genre? I’m pretty open about music but certain types of country with themes like that seen in “She thinks my tractor’s sexy” or “Save a Horse [Ride a Cowboy]” irk me. I don’t mind at all that people like them they’re just not my deal.
I can’t say I hate all country though that’s too big of a blanket statement.
20. If you could have one super power what would it be?
Ughh that’s a absolute toss up between flight to be able to go anywhere I wanted much quicker, safer, and cheaper then a plane (plane’s scare me).
Invisibility to gtfo form dangerous or unwanted situations.
Or mind reading, to know when I’ve upset someone even though they won’t tell me.
