Chu Hua Yuan for Teochew

    Chu Hua Yuan(出花园) is a ceremony for 15years old of teenage during the seventh day of the seventh lunar month which is auspicious day. And, Chu Hua Yuan is meaning ‘out of garden’, it is a ceremony for coming of age and is to determine child turn to teenage, they are growing up without playing in garden, it also is determining a growth process. On the day, they will worship the god of ‘Gong Mu Po’ who is god in charge to protect children live and health. Parents will prepare a lot of dish to their children. From the picture, they bite head of chicken is to proof they are growing up.
