Oliver Queen: What a character!  I’m not sure where to start. He’s got a passion for living that really makes him fun to be around, and I find him so easy to talk to. He sort of gracefully walks…no, scratch that, he dances this line between “shameless and incorrigible playboy” and “dirty but lovable old man” that I find a bit hard to resist, and he doesn’t seem to stay the one or the other for very long. I admit, I haven’t know him a long time, but he is making it very easy to get to know him. I hope we’ll be great friends.Green Arrow: I don’t know him personally, just by reputation. There’s none better with a bow, and Star City seems to be in good hands. I liked the way he stood up to G. Gordon Godfrey after the election too, that was fabulous! I’m sure he’s really not as bad as Red Arrow’s said he is.

“Well… honestly, kinda used to think Oliver Queen was just a big tool. And he is. But there’s other stuff underneath the douchey exterior. Like whatever the hell’s going on with him and Lex. Didn’t ask cause I don’t wanna know. I’ve got enough nightmares already, thanks. But… he’s not an awful guy. Learned more about him and, alright, he’s got some decent skills in combat… kinda wanna see those for myself someday. And… I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t interested in him for other reasons. Still, he’s outdated. Just the same as the rest of the League. It’s probably time for Green Arrow to put away his bow… might hafta be the one to make him do it.”

1. Biggest regret?I wasn't there for my family when they needed me several times, and I can't seem to stop spreading myself too thin to try and make up for it.

2. If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be and what would you do?I don't know that I would change anything.  I don't like thinking about all the ways it could change what's come and what we have now.  But I guess, if it was only one thing, I would've stayed on Earth and gone with Bruce and Jason like a good big brother.

3. One person you could do without?...Tarantula.

4. One person you couldn't live without?I can't choose.  It's not something I want to think about until it happens.

5. Biggest what if?What if Bruce had never taken me in?  What would have happened to me.

6. Biggest mistake you've ever made?I tried to bring Bruce back.

7. Do you have a 'one that got away'? If so, why'd you let them go?I don't, really.  All of my exes and I ended on good terms and I'm still friends with a lot of them.  I'm... I've never quite understood why 'the one' never felt right for me, but I'm starting to work on that now.

8. Are you happy with yourself as a person?Overall, yes.  Of course there are things I'd like to change, but I am who I am, and I'm the one who has to live with me.  I do my best, and that's what matters.

9. Do you think mistakes make a person? If so, what mistakes have made you?No, I don't.  I don't think that mistakes themselves make a person, but that the way a person deals with mistakes shapes who they are.  I do my best to learn from my mistakes and to not repeat them, but that's all I can do.

10. Where do you think you'll be in 10 years?Hopefully still with my family.  Maybe I'll be in a relationship or more.  I'd like to adopt a kid by then, maybe set up Haly's Circus as a permanent thing, but I'm not sure about that.  Ten years is an awfully long time in this business.

Tennis, Anyone? || Bette || Ollie

The morning was crisp at the Gotham City Country Club's tennis courts.  Through the green plastic-coated chain-link fence surrounding the pristine court, she could see the golf course below in the dip of the sprawling property, the line of golf carts parked and gathering dew in the fogged-in morning, and the groundskeeper tidying the paths with his leaf-blower. Someone had bid on and won her contribution to the Rebuild Gotham charity silent auction two nights previously, but their name was an unintelligible scrawl. As long as the signature on the cheque matched, the charity didn't care, and hadn't bothered to inform Bette to exactly whom she owed a week's worth of private tennis lessons, just that they'd checked off "weekdays, 7am" as their choice of schedule. She dropped to one knee on the green rubber-coated concrete and tied her shoe, and noticed the cold air was causing goosebumps on her thighs. No matter, once her student arrived and they got moving, those would vanish quickly enough.  She heard the gate behind her squeak just then, as someone entered.
