What do you want me to tell you that we don't already talk about? I won't say your portrayal of Felix is flawless, because there is no such thing, but you have honed him into a near-perfection that I hope you continue to tweak as you move forward. You already know I admire your writing. You know not just how to make sentences, but how to play with the words in them. It's so rare for me to see alliteration, juxtaposition in word meanings, ect in such casual formats as RP inevitably is. (1/?)
You care about your craft, you aren't given to laziness, and more than that you care about your character as it is. You don't want to change, just enhance. Have I told you yet how intimidated I was of you at first? Way back when with Andri, when we first wrote together it was a moment of 'oh no, quality blog Nova - don't fuck this up' and as you know it is rare for me to feel as such. The thing is I still get intimidated sometimes, I'll put up a particular idea and you'll twist it further (2/?)
Or you'll put together an interesting bit of wordplay and I'm like. DAMN, how the fuck did he do that? WTF IS THIS SHIT. You push me to be better, to do more, and you push me past my own nervousness to write what you know we are both capable of writing. You're a treasure, not just in this community, but as a partner and friend. Indispensable in plotting, irreplaceable in writing, unforgettable for the pee-pee kraken. < 3 (3/3)
you said pee pee kraken and i am now, once again, a puddle of immaturity and giggles
But just-- frick, intimidated?
I admit, the first time I saw your Andri I was just, 'ooooh DA OC...this might get awk' but then I read your stuff and threw all my hesitation out the window.
Nova, you have no idea how much it means to me to be your friend. To have even met you and gotten to know you the way I have. Like, so many of my friends just find RP partners and ships and mates like there is no tomorrow. They click with people like friendships could be made on conveyor belts.
Meanwhile, I forget how to say 'hello'.
And yet, I really just-- clicked with you. You make me so excited to be a writer. Like, I know we don't agree on a lot of things. And our communication methods clash a friggin' lot and we end up bickering nuance *eyes Rice Boy*. But I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Your way of looking at the world is something I understand on a deep level of my own. Like, last night-- how you talked about the macabre version of Alice?
I need that as book about five years ago. That is something I just adore. Those kinds of stories. And I always want to delve into the hungry world of the dark and morbid in my own writing, be it here in RP or my original works.
I just, you're amazing, lovie. I can't wait to see your comics come to life. I can't wait to see where they take and just for far you'll go. It's so exciting to meet someone like you, someone I can talk nitty gritty with whether it be gore or the anatomy of prose.
So thank you, eh? Thank you for being there and for giving me a chance.
Especially since I'm pretty sure the first thing I ever said to you was something along the lines of 'meep'.
Anonymous is for weenies. Archer, where to even start with you? If there was such a thing as a wordbender in the Avatar universe, that would be you because you have this wonderful wonderful way of writing that I envy so hard. And I know, this meme asked for comments on your portrayal, but that's just it. Your writing has this intoxicating atmosphere about it that seems to just embody your muse, and that's not exclusive to Felix. You are such a master at bringing forth character through your(1/?)
writing itself and not just through dialogue/action. Thats the aspect of your writing that I envy the most. It makes for a riveting read and gives the reader such an incredible understanding of your character, and you make it look so /easy/! Specific to Felix' character though, the best thing I can say is probably that I have never seen ouat. I didn't know who he was until I followed your blog. I've since seen videos, gifsets and such but nothing has brought his character to life more for (2/?)
me than how you write him. He is appropriately sinister and yet you don't always mire yourself in the darker aspects of his character. You're not afraid to explore, to take him far out of his comfort zone and you do it each time without losing any grasp of his character. It's wonderful to watch a truly talented writer develop a character even better than their source material, but to watch you specifically do it is a particular privilege. -mushes your cheeks- (3/3)
'you're an amazing writer' you say as i sit here, still laughing about the fucking pee pee kraken
No but omg, Fae. You have no idea how much it means to hear you say this. Because you're such a talent and pleasure to talk with. One of your character carries the name Hawke, a character that is literally a glorified OC in Dragon Age canon. And yet-- you're goddamn canon to me. You make sense. You take the half-baked dribble that didn't get the rich development it deserved in the game and made something absolutely unforgettable. Fae is one of those characters that makes me envious that I didn't come up with the idea first.
She's so wonderfully written and developed. And is so consistent. Like, she's basically an OC, you could bullshit anything and call it canon. And yet, I understand her. I recognize a pattern in her thoughts, just like a character in a well established canon. And it's amazing. You have no idea how much of an honor it is to call you my friend.
As for the boyo you're on right now-- I said before I don't know him, but I feel like I do just from reading. Just what you said for Felix, applies to how I feel about him. He's a character I recognize. What he is and what he does I can comprehend even though I have barely seen him in action outside of your writing.
Mate, you got a serious talent. And just-- it makes me really happy to have you in my life. < 3
Your portrayal of Felix is, quite frankly, one of the best—if not THE best—in the Tumblr RP community. He's so complex and carefully thought out, every little nuance of what little the canon gave us taken and turned into a fully realized character with fully realized reactions to things. Nevermind the fact that you refuse to bend your character to suit the whims of any other roleplayers, or even the whims of yourself. Your Felix is unabashedly who he is, and that's twisted enough without
twisting him more to make a ship work, or turn a ship into something it's not. Simply put, you're here for Felix the character and not just whatever relationships happen to be associated with him. No matter the verse or the interaction, you stay true to who he is and the person you've painstakingly developed him into since day one. You've taken a character who meant next to nothing to the showrunners and made him someone who is important to so many other people's muses, unexpected or otherwise.
And no offense to other Felix roleplayers, as I'm sure they're grand, but you're the only Felix for me. Every single thing you write or post on this blog is a pleasure to read, whether I'm involved in the thread or not. Crack or canon, your writing is a blessing, and your blog is hands down my favorite one in the entire Pandom.

Reason why you follow themPan is one of those characters where everyone who plays them has a drastically different take. You followed me during my hiatus so I haven't gotten to check out your particular portrayal to the extent I would like, I'm back now so soon. But basically, I followed 'cause everyone's unique and I'm curious to see how you handle your Muse.
Your Favorite Thread of Theirs*sheepish grin* I just got off my hiatus. You followed me during it and while I did follow back during that time, I was gone. I haven't gotten to see your stuff. I saw a little of it for the first time last night but I take an age and a day to pick stuff out. But it wasn't a thread, I think? I'm not sure, as I said, haven't gotten to know you yet.
So, in due time I will find one. But just saying this now, my lack of a favorite is no reflection on you. I move at a snail's speed to get anything done, even pick favorites. No offense meant, mate. I just haven't clicked with one just yet.
A Roleplayer you Enjoy their Interactions withLast night was my first taste of your interactions and I was dead tired. I could give a righteous analysis if I tried. So as of now, no one yet. But like I said, not a reflection on you.
Thing You Like About Their CharacterBalls, I can't answer this one either. Not rightfully anyway. But as I mentioned before, Pan's seem to be one of those characters where no two Muns are alike in their portrayal. So, while I don't know your take yet I am looking forward to getting to see you in action. *salutes*
And that's when I'll be able to give an honest answer.
Do you Interact? Why or why not?No. Not yet. Just got back yesterday so there hasn't been a chance.

We should… Talk OOC / Plot / Roleplay / Became bffs. Plots I’d be interested in doing: *sitcom laughtrack* It's Pan and Felix. There's a Mary Poppins bag full of plot ideas given that fact. So-- *twiddles fingers* whatever catches the fancy.

Reason why you follow themI have you seen you e v e r y w h e r e. But I never got the chance to check your blog out. And then, while I was on my--*hand wave*--hiatus sorta thing, I saw the follow notif. And since my web is crap, when I clicked your url, your blog wasn't popping up so I asked my mate "wtf is a Dodger' and she responded, "Dodger the Artful". Which resulted in an immediate follow 'cause Dickens vs Barrie, I'm all for. So, yeah, I'm actually really excited to write with ya and get to know you. Anyone who dabbles in the classics, and has the courage to not only portray it in a manner that sticks to the source but also makes it accessible to modern readers, is worthy of vast amounts of praise.
So eyyy.
Your Favorite Thread of Theirs*twiddles fingers* I actually haven't been able to read your stuff just yet. I have seen you around on my dash, RPing with a lot of my favorite folk. So I know you're fantastic and I do not doubt that I'll pick out a thread I get really invested in soon. But, sorry, mate. I feel bad that I can't get this one for you but I gotta stay honest. I haven't been following you long enough to answer this but that doesn't in any way reflect on you.
*claps hands together* Sorry, sorry.
A Roleplayer you Enjoy their Interactions withxthimble & onlyslightlylost ...As I said, some of my favorite people. I gots no shame.
Thing You Like About Their CharacterSo, I haven't been following you long and I'm not well acquainted with your portrayal yet. But, as I said before, from what I have seen-- it's amazing. You translate the source into a modern style so while it still keeps that classical charm, it's not tedium to read. Plus, we all know that in classics, characters are more symbols and devices rather than people. It's been the style in literature for a long time so, you know, when you take old characters it ends up being a lot of work to fill them out.
I mentioned this with onlyslightlylost, archaic characters are only sketches, outlines to a story. A glimpse at what could be. A modern character is far more filled out ( or should be, ahem ) and so as a modern writer, you've got to balance that old with the new. And you have to do it well or you end up clashing.
And mate, I think it's safe to say you got that in the bag. I can only report from what I've seen and the conclusions I have from knowing you RP with. Like I said, you RP with some of my favorite people and I trust their opinions. So not only do I like what I see but I also catch a glimpse of your audience--
*chin hands* I'm excited.
...Okay I rambled. My bad. Social graces of a toad I've got. *pained laughter*
Do you Interact? Why or why not?Not yet, but I have your starter in my sights and will definitely get to it after I clean the dust off my blog. Just got back from a little personal issue hiatus and I gotta do some winter cleaning.
BUT SOON.

We should… Talk OOC / Plot / Roleplay / Became bffs. Plots I’d be interested in doing: Uh! I know there's a lot of potential given the fact they're both "lost boys" in their own right. But I don't know your portrayal well enough to be able to go "omg so if we threw them in this arena that would be intense, ey?" just yet. But I'm sure I will after we establish a rapport and a dynamic. So, raincheck on this, mate. For now.
