modern day dizzee kipling sprays ‘black lives matter’ all over the walls and wears solidarity buttons alongside his alien buttons and goes to rallies and marches and scopes out the place the night before with his crew and marks up all the walls and is so fixed on social change that it’s almost ridiculous

he listens to akala and maps out alternative futures and talks about hope and change and dismantling structures embedded in oppression and uses a critical feminist anti racist framework in most things he does and talks about how everything is a social construction but that doesn’t mean there aren’t real implications and talks about the importance of indigenous sovereignty and moving toward an open borders world

he reads bell hooks and cesaire and malcolm x and he focuses on resistance and resilience and hope and constantly dreams of utopias rooted in love

but you know dizzee would be the type to get super excited for pride and all the colors and oh all the colors put together and what they mean and he would do up his tag in bi colors and try florescent caution blue with camo pink and royal purple and then midnight blue satin with gloss berry pink and satin french lilac and gloss candy pink with gloss grape and royal sapphire and just litter walls with these colors that shape him and color him and he would absolutely adore it all

your oc & knowing yumemi!

Could your OC know Yumemi? The answer is: sure, it’s definitely possible! Yumemi started up her Peace Paint art therapy course at age fourteen, and she’s fifteen now, so she’s very much a recent phenomenon, as it were. She’s best known within her home Shizuoka Prefecture, but she’s known throughout Japan as a whole! The first trial of the Peace Paint course was done at her own old junior high school, after a tragic bus accident resulted in the deaths of some students, and she brought up the idea as a way to bring the school together and help heal the hearts of her aching schoolmates.This had some publicity itself, but it was her quick moves afterwards to start setting up Peace Paint as something everyone could be a part of and do that made it so she’d stay in the public eye.

The move she’s most famous for is from last summer, though, is when she announced that she was going to spend the break travelling all of Japan’s prefectures and bringing the Peace Paint course to everybody far and wide! (And she actually did it, the absolute madman.) She got a lot of her attention from this, with several online and general life&style outlets following her “Japan-wide tour” as it progressed, and a lot of town halls and culture centres and the like were eager to have her come visit, so! It’s certainly likely that Yumemi paid a visit to your OC’s hometown, and if your OC is interested in this kinda thing, who knows, maybe they even paid her course a visit!

Yumemi has pretty active social media for Peace Paint, where she posts videos and pictures and also other feel-good stuff like easy, tasty, nutritious (and generally pescetarian/vegetarian) recipes and motivational quotes and images, and other Good Vibes content along those lines! (She’s all about those Good Chill Vibes.) And as well as all that, as a byproduct of everything she’s netted quite a couple of interviews both TV and print/online, so even if you don’t particularly pay attention to this sorta thing, you might just vaguely recognise those sleepy lavender eyes, serene smile, and keen fashion taste from somewhere.
