This has to be one of the most hate filled fandoms I’ve ever been in. Anon hate seems to be on my dash everyday. I guess the unpopular opinion would be, instead of posting it and feeding the damn gremlins, block it. If I recall right, blocking an anon blocks the IP address so they can’t even go onto a different blog and send from there.
Stop feeding the gremlins, guys. They feed off attention and the more you feed them the more they’ll stick around because there is something wrong with them and they get a sick twisted sense of pride/pleasure out of tearing someone down.

Good, now that that’s over with. I don’t understand the feral rage people go into over their ships. It’s like a mob mentality and it’s actually kind of terrifying. The biggest ones I’ve seen put out the most hate are the Tracer/Widow and the Pharmacy shippers. I get it, it sucks when a ship is cannonly sunk. But come on guys, when has that ever stopped us before?
Also, Tracer has a girlfriend, for those who would stand and argue representation is important. Hell yeah it’s important. I fucking loved, that as a bi female myself, that she had a girlfriend. That one of the main fucking characters was something other than straight and used as eye-candy. What.. irritates me more than anything is the utter hate that came from her not being with Widowmaker in the game, that she had a life outside of Overwatch.
Not sure if this is unpopular or not, but I’ve seen way more hatred towards Emily than support.
Dear any Sombra that follows me. I have a headcanon question.
Reaper is made of nanites, which are small machines, so it makes sense for her to be able to basically hack his body (this flows with game-canon as well) but the question I have, is how well would the hack work? Complete control over his body, partial control (would make sense since some of his abilities are taken offline.
And
Would, since it’s his body and a hack/virus is an illness for lack of better terms, he be able to fight off said infection? How long would it last, does his nanites have an antivirus/immune system? (would make sense since the game hack only lasts so long, but who knows)

[[ There are parts of this that I agree and that I disagree with. I think it’s good to be critical of a work when it calls for it. I never shipped Widowtracer and have no issue with Tracer’s relationship with Emily, but I do think that e.g. if they decide to push Gency as canon that it’s rather questionable, not because I like some other ship better but because… I think romantic Gency is bad writing. ]]
(It’s great to be critical of a work and that’s a completely valid opinion to have, even one I happen to share. It’s too much like a weird Florence Nightingale Effect (not sure what it’s called when the patient falls for the doctor) to me, but that doesn’t give anyone the right (just a blanket statement from the hate I’ve seen) to be so hateful to the creators/writers/people who do ship it. It’s not our game and if they think that’s the way to go, then they will. Sending hate will just close them off to possibly adding pairings that the fandom likes instead of breaking it to pieces.)
