We were walking the dog today at the park When I noticed a girl, resemblance stark To a girl I once knew, hair dark, down to her shoulders We giggled and sang as we skipped over boulders
We talked about sunshine And we talked about music We talked about sweetness And then where to use it
The joy of new friends not to be abus-ed Dharma continues Love ever fluid
One Cigarette a Day
The way that smoke takes my brain away amazes me every time. With every new one I light up it creates a moment a memory with someone by my side. I never smoke alone, there is no enjoyment for me in that. A cigarette needs to be shared. You feel like you are doing something forbidden, because of the way you were taught as a child that with every breath you take you shorten your life. So we do something forbidden and that makes us closer, even if we are adults we rebel in some way against the system.
