❰❰ MEDIC ❱❱ sender bandages receiver’s wounds
PETER ISN’T USED TO OTHERS TREATING HIS WOUNDS. From when the symptoms of the spider bite began to show, he didn’t even go to the hospital back then, pushing through uncomfortable sickness to when his abilities began to manifest— since then, and ESPECIALLY when he started patrolling as Spider-Man, he knew he wouldn’t be able to risk it. Rapid healing and an abnormal molecular structure are too easily noticeable, and there was no way he could ask anyone to help him out!— even as others started finding out about his identity, Peter never wants to worry them more than he already knows he does. His responsibility to handle, his injuries to fix. Besides, he’s managed to learn A LOT over time spent teaching himself how to treat broken bones, deep gashes, and plenty of other wounds alike.
Except, sometimes he CAN’T manage it on his own.
It’s not the first time Nathaniel has helped him out— that one came right after a particularly bad stab wound and a nasty stain on the seats of Addy’s car. This time, it’s a bullet wound, one that managed to pierce RIGHT through his left shoulder. He’s dealt with these before, but the angle makes it difficult, and he sort of... accidentally lost a ton of blood, leaving himself lightheaded before he even got here. Now, though, he’s still woozy, but cleaned up at least, waiting as Nathaniel handles the bandages.
A wince, and he can’t help but hold back a slight groan after a particularly painful press against the injury. Immediately, he bites the inside of his cheek, breathing through his nose instead— guilt twists into a pit in his stomach, he DOESN’T really like inconveniencing people like this. “Uh— thanks...for helping, I mean, you didn’t have to do this! I prob’ly could’ve figured it out somehow— fight a bunch’a criminals for awhile and you REALLY learn how to patch yourself up and clean a lot of blood off the bathroom floor.” Okay, maybe that wasn’t as funny as he wanted it to be. “I mean, um, it’s...appreciated, y’know? I don’t...usually ask for help with this kinda stuff.”
