Wait wait wait

So Kitty Meowgic and Meowsteries of the Deep sound really similar??? At least the arpeggio track in both. I'm fairly certain the first chord in Meowsteries of the Deep is the same as the chord the arpeggios in Kitty Meowgic use, or at least they're similar.

And while they aren't structured the same, they're the only songs aside from the spooky theme in CQ1 (and the first half of CQ2's villain theme) that use almost exclusively synthy unnatural sounds.

I'm not entirely sure what this implies, but it's certainly interesting.

I actually have a lot of thoughts on the music of Cat Quest maybe I'll make a more in depth post in the future

#skylar says stuff #cat quest #cat quest 3 #ouuuugghhhhhhh #this isn't getting into how Meowsteries of the Deep uses both the protagonist theme AND the villain theme #I call them those because the Protagonist theme is used in all three games and is actually the game's main motif #(barring the Lupus Empire which has a slightly different motif)#and the villain theme is used by all the villains across the board (Except for the other pirate captains!!)#I'm tempted to actually just call it Aelius' theme #and characters like Drakoth Lioner and Wolfen just borrowed it #because of how connected they are to him #(I mean. Aelius quite literally shared that theme with Lioner and Wolfen in the second game)#(and with the third game only using for the Zero Dimension and other Aelius related songs it makes me think)#okay scratch that Drakoth's theme us actually different. nvm #Drakoth's theme actually reminds me a lot of the music from the Batman lego games #just a lil side note lol
