Starter for @ovanity w/ Xion
Her footsteps echoed on the narrow staircase as Xion descended into the depths of the castle. She hid her hands in her coat pockets, warding off the chill of the stone walls. The light was thin and fluorescent. At the bottom of the stairs she arrived in a cell block, almost entirely devoid of prisoners. The cells were empty but for simple furniture and iron bars. At the end of the hall was the sole occupied cell, kept watch by a bored guard, and left in the thick shadow of the corner.
Xion sensed his magic before she saw him, the signature power of the Superior. Yet, different, complete, full, warm, not the empty void that he had once been. A heart, which infused his entire being, and almost turned him into a different creature. His magic was weakened but no less substantial as well. But visually, he was so familiar, the exact same. His face, his eyes, his build.
The only difference was that she no longer looked-up at him: only through the bars of a cage.
"You can go," Xion told the guard. "I'll let you know when I'm done."
The guard, perhaps eager to see someone sunlight, nodded curtly and left them. She waited until she could no longer hear his footsteps, the entire time not pulling her eyes from Xemnas' face. Xion's expression was placid and yet, analytical. The very poker face of stoicism she learned from him and perfected in card games with Luxord. Some habits died hard.
"Roxas wants to kill you... again," Xion said. "I have no reason to stop him."
