Following on from my previous post regards just how shite Elder’s contract has been as a customer of Vodafones, I thought I’d update.
After getting a comment on the last post from someone from Vodafone, with a link to follow and fill in for a call back, not to mention messages on twitter, I genuinely thought we’d be sorted and Elder could continue to yak about man stuff with his mates as before.

Went for late night munchies at Taco Bell drive thru. Got 3 crunchy taco supremes. Well, that’s what I ordered. Got home to stuff my face and they’re just plain old regular crunchy tacos. :(
This is not the first time that has happened at that location either!!! So I didn’t get what I paid for and I really missed the stupid sour cream. I took their survey, and they didn’t even give a sorry you dissatisfied!!!

Me to Telkom Operator: I just received an SMS from Telkom telling me that I have an outstanding balance of R4575 on my Telkom account and that I need to pay it or I will be suspended
Telkom Operator: Yes that's correct - you have not paid the full amount.
Me: No - I spoke to someone last week who told me that I had incorrectly been billed after I reached my ADSL cap. They told me to just pay my normal fee and the incorrect amount would be credited on my next invoice.
Telkom Operator: Yes that's correct - you were incorrectly billed.
Me: OK so will my account be suspended?
Telkom Operator: Yes - because you haven't paid the account.
Me: But you said it was incorrectly billed and that it would be corrected on my next invoice.
Telkom Operator: That's correct
Me: Ok so my account won't be suspended then?
Telkom Operator: It will be suspended because you haven't paid the account.
Me: But you just told me that the amount charged was an error on your system?
Telkom Operator: That's correct. You should not have been charged the additional amount.
Me: OK - so how do I not have my account suspended then - seen as though the amount was billed incorrectly?
Telkom Operator: Why don't you just pay the entire outstanding amount? Otherwise your account will be suspended for not paying..
...half an hour of back and forth later
Telkom Operator: OK so would you like me to make a note on your account to ask them to not suspend it?
Me: Yes please - that would be lovely.
Here's hoping I don't get cut off!!!
We are pushed every day to further our education, go to college. And yet, universities charge us students more than we can afford, and most of that money goes to the athletic department anyways! What is wrong with the system, because quite frankly I am sick of being over charged to pay for people to play sports.
