NEW COMIC SERIES!! this comic is for my pre-canon TBP AU i talk a little bit about here!! im not sure if ill do more parts, but im definitely hoping to!

pre-canon TBP au!

i wrote some basic info below the cut, pretty hastily done so forgive me if it doesnt make sense LOL

frank is apart of the draag auxiliary band (has been since he was a kid) and HATES it, gerard works on a farm with his family but dreams of being apart of the auxiliary band

frank is pretty sheltered as he spends most of his time playing music, and he hates it even MORE because the music he has to play is used to spread propaganda, and frank can see right through it.

gerard is a little more starry-eyed, he doesn't really understand that their government is corrupt. he's heard his entire life that he has a talent for singing, and he wants to make his family proud- so he brings mikey along to audition

much later: gerard, mikey, frank, and ray are all offered a more pretigous branch of the band, "the black parade". and of course nobody really sees how bad this will be, BESIDES frank, but he cant say anything because the punishment for speaking up or denying this offer would be *severe*.

(that's all i have for now, but i also plan to make a comic out of this au!)

Pre WTTBP au thing your making question: do you have plans for Ray and Mike's backstory yet? Or do you plan to only focus on Gerard and Frank?

AHHH so glad you asked!

Just to preface: this comic will not be *solely* frerard. It'll be a mix of everyone, largely through Frank and Gerard's perspective.

I haven't started drawing up part one yet SORRY!! (busy with work, and The Horrors), but I can give some crumbs on how I plan to write the characters!

Mikey:

Mikey isn't as interested in music as Gerard is. In fact, he's quite indifferent, but growing up on a farm, he learned some pretty sweet tricks on his grandfather's old banjo and harp. He plays all his frustrations there. When he's not playing music, he's fighting in underground rings and getting into scrappy dog fights- it's actually how Frank and him met. Bored kids have a way of finding each other.

Gerard is so protective over his baby brother, Mikey just wants to do his own thing. He wants to leave Draag one day, most of all. Mikey watches the time tick buy in his locket stopwatch, and time seems to go by slower the longer he waits for things to change.

Ray:

He's Gerard's best friend. He works part time at his mother's repair shop, he can fix *anything* if you give him enough tools, room, and time.

Ray is the type of guy who will fix your problems, wipe your tears, and pick you right back up. He'll fall apart if he can't help his friends. He cares so deeply, yet at the same time, it feels like it's all weighing down on him at once. Ray can't not feel.

Ray is the sole breadwinner for him and his mom. He has another part time gig at a jazz bar in the city. It barely pays anything, but as long as he gets to play his music, he's happy. And he can play. While Ray knows he has incredible talent in music, he just doesn't know where to put it, not yet at least.
