Things to Note for Overcoming the Odds

Hello, hello!

While I'm not close to finishing up the first part, I figured that there would be some things to note! Mainly because I had written down some things and then forgot and I do occasionally type on my phone instead of my laptop so would like something to go back on as well xD

Overcoming the Odds is a modern day story that follows GoA Zayne x archeology student!NonMC reader. Doing some thought while trying to figure a few things out for the story, I decided that there's a prequeal that will end up being written with Sea God Rafayel and another archeology student!NonMC with chances of the other lis having their own story as well - depending on certain things. Outside of Rafayel, the only one that might is Sylus. I would have to plan around with Caleb and Xavier - Caleb's depending on what his second limited myth is and Xavier's because of how his myths have been and what the theme seems to be for them.

Caleb and Xavier also play somewhat different roles in the story as well so it would probably be a reversal aspect where NonMC had some sort of relation to a God.

Characters

Zayne's NonMC/Reader - Dulce will be the name used when it comes to appearances in others stories, a.k.a the appearance in Sea God x NonMC

Zayne - God of Annihilation

Rafayel's NonMC/Reader - the name, Calypso, will be seen within OCTO

Rafayel - he is still the Sea God but already in an established relationship with Calypso

Em - MC

Caleb - MC's adoptive brother

Xavier - Reader's roommate within OCTO

Sylus' NonMC/Reader - unsure if she'll make an appearance within OCTO but if she does, she'll be using the name Dove

Sylus - much like Dove, unsure if he'll make an appearance. Probably not as his story will probably be the sequel

There are two kinds of authors who leave me speechless in awe

There’s the author who spits out a 100k word story in a couple of weeks.  Whilst evidently working a full time job.  And raising children.  And dealing with the flu.  Who even ARE these paragons?

And then there’s the author who finishes a 30k word story over the course of 7 years.  One slow update at a time.  Here’s the thing.  THEY FINISH.  Not on anyone’s schedule but their own.  But by god, that story is eventually wrapped up, even after the birth of twins, three job changes, a full course at university and dealing with multiple sclerosis.  Just.  Wow.

I respect EVERY kind of author mind you.  As a writer myself, I know it’s HARD HARD HARD.

Autism Squad is going to the Rep Tour Minneapolis!!

Hey @taylorswift and swifties I want to introduce you to my brother Jc and my cousin Brendan. Both of them have Autism. As you may know, Autism affects each individual differently. Often times they struggle with social and emotional skills and they are very sensitive to certain things. It is often very hard to connect with people with autism because they tend to live in their own little worlds. These two are no exception. Through your music, however, I have watched them both come alive and out of their shells. I just want to take this time to say thank you for giving me a way to bond with them. It means more to me than you will ever know ♡ ☆

This Christmas my mom surprised all of us with tickets to the rep tour in Minneapolis(night 2)!! The boys, two of my best friends, and two of our moms are beyond excited to sing and dance with you. We will be in section 342 row 21 seats 1-5 and the mamas will be in section 343 row 16 seats 23 and 24.

Seeing this makes me forget who I really am. Makes me forget the bills and the debts and the foreclosure that is looming over my head. Makes me feel like I am so much more than a recovering addict, more than the person who made so many mistakes that wreaked so much havok on my own world, more than anything I've ever seen myself as. My mind isn't always very nice. I am more than I ever thought I was. And funny, but I look at this and realize..I'm more than I could ever imagine. I will survive, and I will rise above the crap that brought me down.

More help on this front

I have an idea of a character and I'm debating on using MC for said character.

Pretty much, without going into too much details and spoiling certain events that I've thought about if I do so, MC is a bully to NonMC.

NonMC has a bully no matter what cuz thats the only way I can see something happening but I guess it's just a matter on if it's MC or not.

I got some scene ideas and whatnot if MC is the bully but also if MC's not.

Obviously, MC would probably get a redemption arc at some point cuz I got no issues with MC. Love her, honestly, but like plot.

I hope y'all are aware that, given the chance, I may info dump with archeology - especially since I got two wips with "characters" studying archeology (Overcoming the Odds and Ground of Your Sanctuary) 👀

ESPECIALLY with Overcoming the Odds as the reader's study focus is the classical era and as a pagan that has Greek deities, got lots of the myths in my head.
