I sooo love when tv shows realize they've put two characters of the same gender together enough to generate a fandom and then they're like oh fuck oh fuck we fucked up and they never let either of those characters talk to anyone of the same gender again let alone let those two characters be in a room together. I would honestly rather be queerbaited

Aw, thank you so much! You can’t believe how funny it is that you ask that question because my art friends already think I have a foot fetish as is — but here we go.

I think what helped me the most in drawing shoes was drawing a lot of feet from photos first? Like, A LOT. The kind of amount that makes your friends wonder about your special interests.

I mean, everyone learns in their own way but for me this is the only way to learn imagine objects in 3D space.  Besides that, when I draw feet now I think of them as consisting of 4 shapes that can move independently:

And then I just.... sorta wrap the shoe around that. 

To be honest I don’t really have a specific technique for that, just keep in mind that different shoe types have different shapes (that build on top of the foot shape), and use ludicrous amounts of reference.
