Democrats Greg Stanton, Yassamin Ansari, and Adelita Grijalva say they showed up at the facility unannounced around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

New Brunswick’s health minister is eyeing a Northern Ontario pilot project that allowed eligible non-urgent ER patients to wait comfortably at home and receive text messages when it was the best time to go in. The virtual home waiting room tried at the Sault Area Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie could decrease “unacceptable” wait times and improve the experience of patients, Dr. John Dornan says. “This is something that we could and should and will be looking at,” Dornan said when asked about such a project for New Brunswick. A plan could also be coming "within weeks" to alleviate overcrowding caused by hospital beds being taken up by people waiting for nursing home beds or other long-term-care placements, Dornan suggested.

Our prisons are SO overcrowded, we are implementing early-release schemes for offenders, and letting abusers and sex offenders walk after completing a third of their sentence.

But not SO overcrowded, we are investigating and searching and criminalising women who may have had access to an illegal abortion method, or for some reason not carried full-term. A woman who for some reason, miscarries, has a still birth or doesn't carry to term can have her phone and home searched?!

on a cross country train from Wakefield to Sheffield and it's so crammed full that it's taken 5 minutes to board a handful of passengers. the worst part? this isn't the first time I've seen this - I've been denied boarding on this same service before because it's been overbooked.

the real kicker, though? a wheelchair user was denied boarding because, while able-bodied people are able to cram themselves in like sardines, someone in a wheelchair can't.

to add insult to injury, I'm now going to miss my transfer at Sheffield, making my journey about an hour longer than it should be, which means I can claim compensation for this journey.

this is not profitable for cross country - why the fucking fuck would they not just put larger trains on this line or, even better, have more frequent service to prevent this so that they don't have to shell out thousands in refunds every time the train runs?

or, if the train is fully booked, just don't let people buy any more tickets lmao; it's not difficult...
