Without spoilers are there any changes from the OG drafts to what you've written so far? Like with the characters or certain scenes?

oh, yeah. a lot of the characters changed bc at the start I thought of more of a found family vibe and mc being liked all around by staff of the band but then I thought about how jaded everyone in the public eye is and how worn down you are from being on the road for so long and overhauled that. mc being seen as a bit of a leech was also more interesting of an angle to me.

another thing I changed from my original idea is how much of a bitch mc can be. I don't like doormat mcs but they're a lot meaner than I planned at first but I like it!

the balcony jump was also briefly an overdose that would have sent R to rehab and left mc to flounder at the start.

some storylines also changed majorly, but I never brought them up, so you'll only see their "current" version but mc was gonna flop hard

i’m gonna get on my lil soapbox bc like, I see people start to check out when discussions of fentanyl testing or narcan administration come up, because they don’t use themselves and never plan to, or think that they don’t keep company with people who do.

i gotta say as an addict (years into sobriety with the occasional relapse), I’ve put a lot of people in positions that they never thought they’d be in without them knowing. your sister or your neighbor or someone walking down the street could be suffering from drug addiction and it’s not as obvious alot of the time as it looks in media. an overdose, especially with fentanyl, isn’t a dramatic shaking and foaming and plea for help with plenty of time to call an ambulance. you have to move fast.

Learning to spot signs of overdose and administration of life saving medication is not a secret, the information is readily available! if volunteering to work at a needle exchange or passing out fentanyl test strips is more than you can do, please just educate yourself. 11x17 Red Meat truly insane episode. saved person of the week chokes sam because he's understood that the brothers' codependency will kill his wife. dean overdoses to talk to billie but sam wasn't actually dead, just shot and losing blood. after many hours of just being left there on the floor with no food or a bandage on his wound or anything he kills two werewolves in thirty seconds then drives to the hospital where he shoots another werewolf. dean tells sam he's always known he was alive. DID HE EVER TELL HIM? DID HE EVER TELL HIM THAT HE KILLED HIMSELF???

i think mic has the better alcohol tolerance out of trophy, silver, and mic. so sometimes i imagine them in a bar where trophy and silver spoon are just passed out while knife is trying to stop mic from accidentally overdosing
